Leo beats Northrop
Last night in northern Indiana, the Leo Lions picked up their third win of the season getting one over the Northrop Bruins 56-48. 2024 PG Jackson Mcgee went off last night for 23 pts that included 5 rbs and 2 stls for Leo. Other 2024 PG Trey Hiteshew also had a solid night for the lions with 10 pts, 4 rbs, and 5 asts. On the Northrop side, Jayden Schmenk Jayden Schmenk 6'0" | PG Fort Wayne Northrop | 2023 IN was the leading scorer for the Bruins 16 pts and 5 stls. Dalman Alexander Dalman Alexander 6'6" | PF Fort Wayne Northrop | 2023 State IN also dropped 13 pts for Northrop. Leo, now 3-4, will look to continue to role as they travel to Huntington North on 12/16.
Lawrence Central pushes past Attucks
The Lawrence Central Bears picked up a good win last night over Crispus Attucks 60-56. With Kamari Jones Kamari Jones 6'4" | SG Lawrence Centra (IN) / Hilcrest Prep (AZ) | 2023 IN no longer on Lawrence North, players needed to step up for the Bears and that is exactly what 2023 SG DaJohn Craig DaJohn Craig 6'1" | PG Lawrence Central | 2023 State IN did with his 29 pts and 7 rbs last night. On the Crispus Attucks side, the Tigers were lead by Chris Hurt Chris Hurt 5'11" | PG Crispus Attucks | 2025 State IN and Ron Rutland III Ron Rutland III 6'1" | SG Crispus Attucks | 2024 State IN with 13 pts while 2025 C Dezmon Briscoe Dezmon Briscoe 6'9" | PF Crispus Attucks | 2025 State #107 Nation IN added 12 pts. After Losing three straight, this was a big win for Lawrence Central to get back on the winning side but will have a much tougher game coming up with Pike on 12/16.
Michigan City over Mishawaka
The Michigan City Wolves moved to 4-1 on the year with a solid road win over the 3-2 Mishawaka Cavemen 67-49. Michigan City saw two players go off last night with Jamie Hodges dropping 25 pts and Allen Briggs Allen Briggs 6'2" | PG Michigan City | 2024 State IN with 20 pts. On the Mishawaka side, Brady Fisher lead the Cavemen with a 14 point, 13 rebound double-double. At the 4A level, Michigan City has been a sneaky good team in the northern Indiana area and is one to keep a close eye on as the season progresses.
