Grandville vs Grandville Calvin Christian
Cameron Regnerus Cameron Regnerus 6'7" | PF Grandville | 2024 State MI 6-8 2024 Grandville Was the featured player in the preview I posted on Wednesday. Did not disappoint at all. Showed the whole bag that makes him one of the fastest rising post prospects in the 2024 class. Two handed dunks emphatic rejections. It was all on display. Also showed the finer points of the game. Had a nice touch pass out of the high post to a open man for three. Showed improved passing all around. Might have been pushing a triple double. Easily has a double double with 27 points. The elite lateral quickness and length are what separates him from other bigs.

6-4 2023 Grandville Calvin Christian While Regnerus won on the stat sheet. DeHaan came alive in the second half to help the Squires take home the victory. Scored in both the mid range and from beyond the arc. Showed a mature drive game. Had a nice turnaround step back to give his team the lead. Then had a big three to essentially seal it. Showed a versatile offensive skill set. Kept composure as Grandville amassed a big halftime lead. Finished with a team high 16 clutch points. Had a good summer with MBA on the grassroots circuit. Off to a good start in his senior season. Should start attracting some small college interest after Saturday’s performance. If he hasn’t already.

6-4 2023 Grand Rapids Kenowa Hills Similarly to Regnerus cams as advertised. With his future coaching staff from Grand Valley in attendance. Gave them a lot to look forward to. Is as explosive of an athlete as you will see anywhere. But never seems to be in a hurry and plays at his own pace. Good ball handler who gets to his spots easily. Even if he doesn’t get to his spot. Has the athleticism to simply rise above defenders. Did that often and displayed a soft feathery touch in the mid range. Finished with a game high 24 points. Easily could’ve had more. As he did not shoot well at the line. Also missed two dunks. I never thought I would write that sentence. One of the better finishers in the state.

6-0 Grand Rapids Forest Hills Central Provided a huge spark off the bench for the Rangers. Came out firing and attacking. Kept coming all day. Even as Kenowa seized control of the game. Not the biggest prospect but has two skills that make up for that. Has a trigger quick release. Doesn’t need much time to get it off. Even showed the ability to hang with a little hesitation on his third three of the first half. Secondly is an quick and powerful leaper that helps him play bigger than his listed height. A little off the radar. As he dealt with an injury this summer. Finished with 19 and probably put himself back on the radar with his play on Saturday.
Jonas VanderWoude Jonas VanderWoude 6'3" | PG Forest Hills Central | 2024 State MI 6–3 2024 Grand Rapids Forest Hills Central For a half looked one of the better players at the event. Elite movement off the ball. Had a nice back door cut against aggressive defense. Came off screens well and in the shooting position. Like backcourt teammate McKenzie has a trigger quick release on his shot. Has the added the extra dimension of good size to get it off. Had 12 points in the first half. Not sure what Kenowa did to take him out of the game. But that was what he finished with. Interesting to see how he develops in the coming year. As he already has so many intangibles that you just can’t coach. High academic player who should have plenty of options at the next level.
