Caleb Holt (6’5/Shooting Guard/2026/Buckhorn HS)
Caleb has started the season just as expected, and that is as one of the most explosive and athletic players in the state. For every game his squad has played, he has been the best player on the court. In the match-up against Grissom, which was close throughout, Alabama commit RJ Johnson RJ Johnson 6'3" | PG Grissom | 2023 State #215 Nation AL , and Caleb dazzled the crowd with their ability to score the rock. A lot has been said about Caleb within the last couple of months, and he is living up to all of the attention he is attracting and doing it all as a mere freshman.

Caleb White (5’11/PG/’24/Pinson Valley)
I was able to watch Caleb as he played his first game of the season, and he was spectacular. He is extremely confident, has put the Indians on his shoulders, and is willing to do whatever to lead his team to the promised land. He is one of the most explosive guards I have seen during the season’s first month. He scores the rock at a high volume and is a threat every time the ball touches his hands. If the first month of the season is an indicator of how the season is going to go for the Indians, they may not see any real challenges until they cross the state lines.

Alex Odam Alex Odam 6'3" | SG Piedmont | 2023 State AL (6’3/SG/’23/Piedmont HS)
Piedmont hasn’t been on the hardwood yet, due to their football team making it to the championship game. Yet still, expectations are high surrounding the basketball team led by Alex. Piedmont’s season is solely on the back of Alex, and his senior leadership and experience should play considerable dividends in Piedmont’s chances in the state tourney.
Salim London Salim London 6'2" | CG Hoover | 2025 State #256 Nation AL (6’2/CG/’25/Hoover HS)
I have not laid eyes on Hoover during the season’s first month, but my sources have told me that Salim was pressing early but has found his footing. He is a walking bucket and can get it down at all levels, and he is explosive off the bounce and one of the state’s most potent scorers. Looking long-term, he will have to continue improving the handles at the point of offensive initiation.

Ja’Mari Arnold (5’10/CG/’23/Huntsville HS)
Ja’Mari is hands down the alpha male of his Huntsville squad. He is a combo guard who can move between being a trustworthy floor general and a prolific scorer. With all of the expectations surrounding his Huntsville crew, some say he will be the driving force of how far Huntsville can go in the post-season.
