Layton Christian Academy
Layton Christian has a tough team and they will be able to make some noise out in Vegas/ LCA will open up against Montgomery, California. I really like what we can get from Tyrese Lacey Tyrese Lacey 5'10" | PG Layton Christian | 2023 State UT Soulymane Barroq both players require a lot of attention that can get other players good open looks.
Springville
Springville opens up against Clark, Nevada. This could be a national coming out party for Jaymn Sondrup and Nate Visentin. These two can dominate the inside
Juan Diego Catholic
This team has been really taking the next step in their team development. They will open up against Maranatha, California a middle of the pack school out in Southern California. Juan Diego does have the players to take this team down. Look for Dorelle Desire to have a big week out in Vegas. Also, keep an eye on Noah Bendinger Noah Bendinger 6'4" | CG Corner Canyon | 2025 State UT who has been shooting the ball really well.
Payson
Payson opens up against Brentwood which is usually a tough team out of California. Payson will need to use their outside shooting to really keep up but it is a team that will help them get better regardless of the outcome. Isaac Wolfe Isaac Wolfe 6'1" | PG Payson | 2023 State UT is a player that can have a breakout game out in Vegas.
Timpanogos
Mason Faux Mason Faux 6'1" | PG Timpanogos | 2023 State UT has been having a great year although his team heads to Vegas looking for their first win of the season. They will get some good opportunities as they play 4 games in a row. They are in a favorable bracket but they open up against a team in Muir California that has produced some great hoopers in the past. Should be a good matchup/.
Mount Vernon
Very impressive to see this small school putting it out on the line and playing in this event. Mount Vernon is playing an independent schedule and comes in with a 4-4 record. They have a trio of players playing well in Gabe Jackson, Thomas Niu and Jackson Guidash.
Provo
Aaron Castagnetto is the best player on this Provo team as they look to make a run this week out in Vegas. Tough open up against a local school in El Dorado but they have a chance at making some nois eout there.
Jordan
Jordan heads out to Vegas looking for their first win of the season. It will be a team effort as it has been all year.
