SubscribeThe 7th Annual Tampa Bay Christmas Invitational continued on Friday with high level games at Carrollwood Day School and the Wiregrass Ranch Sports Campus in Wesley Chapel. Prep Hoops Florida scout Ross Van De Griek was on hand for the event and here is who stood out on Day 3.
Acevedo led all scorers with 21 points, including 14 in the second half to secure the 58-52 win over Luella (Georgia). Acevedo also finished with a game-high 13 points in their 53-51 win over St. John’s Jesuit (Ohio) in their second game of the day.

Joseph, a 6-2 freshman combo guard was showing his speed and athleticism in their 52-45 win over Durant. He finished with a game-high 22 points and also dished out four assists in the win. He was scoring in all three phases whether it was attacking the rim, from beyond the arc or turning defense into offense.
The 5-10 senior guard was attacking the basket and finishing extremely well with contact. Peavy led the Cougars with 21 points in their 52-45 loss to Chaminade-Madonna.
The 6-0 senior guard finished with a game-high 24 points for Trinity Christian Academy (Tennessee) in today’s 72-58 win over Gulf Coast. The Campbellsville University football commit also knocked down 3 three pointers in the win.
The 6-3 senior small forward has had a great Tampa Bay Christmas Invitational scoring 20 or more points in two of the three games. He finished with a team-high 22 points in today’s 72-59 loss to Cocke County (Tennessee).
