Fleming County brought the defensive pressure
Fleming County thrives in an uptempo game and it starts with their defense. Guards Lucas Jolly Lucas Jolly 6'0" | PG Fleming County | 2025 State KY and Seth Hikerson spearheaded the pressure at the top of the press all night. They did a great job creating havoc and speeding up Greenup County’s guards into making bad decisions. It was clear that Jolly and Jones set the tone from the start by their pressure on the defensive end.
Eli Adkins was a bright spot for Greenup County
I really like Eli Adkins game. He did a good job keeping them composed when things got out of sorts and made sure they made the right play. Has above the rim athleticism as he threw down an impressive dunk in transition. Good form on his jumper with 3pt range, especially off the catch. His size and athleticism allowed him to be effective on the offensive glass. Fleming County had trouble at times guarding him. Plays with great instincts.
Fleming County gets GREAT shots offensively
Fleming County shares the ball better than any team I have seen thus far. They always made the extra pass to get guys better shots and they knocked them down. They are also one of the best mid-range shooting teams I have seen. Adam Hargett Adam Hargett 6'3" | SF Fleming County | 2024 State KY knocked down clutch, timely shots against the Greenup County zone both in the mid-range and from 3pt. He’s a really good shooter when he has time. Junior forward Isaac Frye also found open holes in the zone and took advantage by making a couple mid-range jumpers.
Seth Hickerson is a name to remember
Hickerson for Fleming was really good. He played with a calm composure that picked apart the Greenup County defense. He did a good job early getting guys easy shots but became more aggressive offensively in the second half scoring the ball. Had an impressive sequence in the second half where he knocked down a 3 and immediately stole the inbound that led to a layup. He was in passing lanes all night and led the way for Fleming County. Looking forward to following his progression. Future is bright.
