Andrew Purdy
The three-sport athlete is just that, an athlete. Already committed to play baseball at Alabama and ranked as the sixth best prospect in Georgia, Andrew makes a difference on the hardwood as well. He’s a stout 200-pound guard that plays at his own pace. He can hit the three off the dribble and can use his strength to drive the ball through the teeth of the defense. The southpaw posted 10 points, 2 rebounds, 4 assists and 1 steal.
Rechsteiner got hot in spurts against Western, KY. In the second quarter he sparked a 20-8 run, netting 12 of his team-high 20 points in the frame. The Virginia Tech signee was at his best on the perimeter, sinking 3 threes, a pull-up and a fadeaway jumper. When he attacked the rim he finishes with crafty scoop shots and high arcing floaters off the glass..
