The Crusaders (2-1) hosted the Sports Leadership & Management Spartans (0-2) where the Crusaders came out victorious, 78-64. It was a back and forth opening quarter as both teams exchanged leads on a few occasions. After the first eight minutes of play it was the Ramone Seals Ramone Seals 6'4" | CG SLAM Tampa | 2024 State FL vs Karter Knox Karter Knox 6'6" | SG Tampa Catholic | 2024 #6 Nation GA show as they battled it out to see who is the best junior in the Tampa Bay area.
Tampa Catholic ended the first half on a 8-2 run to take a 38-32 lead heading into the locker room. In the second half, the Crusaders started to pull away beginning the quarter on a 6-0 run. However, SLAM Academy would not go away quietly as they made a run of their own to end the third quarter trailing 58-52.
Unofficially Knox led the Crusaders with 24 points in the win. The Spartans were led by junior guard Ramone Seals Ramone Seals 6'4" | CG SLAM Tampa | 2024 State FL finishing with a game-high 28 points. SLAM Academy returns to action on Friday night, where they’ll travel to Punta Gorda and face a tough Charlotte Tarpons squad. Tampa Catholic will return to action on Saturday where they’ll take on The Rock School in the Breast Cancer Classic, hosted by Oak Ridge High School.

Seals led all scorers with 28 points and 6 rebounds in last night’s 78-64 loss to Tampa Catholic. The 6-4 combo guard was flashy in a variety of ways, whether he was getting to the basket or shooting from the mid-range.

Jones was a machine last night for SLAM Academy recording his first double-double of the season, finishing with 15 points, 13 rebounds and four blocked shots in the 78-64 loss to Tampa Catholic.
Knox, a 6-6 shooting guard showed that he belongs to be in the national conversation as far as his recruitment attention goes. He knocked down four three-pointers helping lead Tampa Catholic to a commanding 78-64 win over SLAM Academy. Over the last month, Knox has been getting heavy interest from Kentucky and Louisville as he’s taken official visits to both programs.
