In the first quarter, 2025 Fishers standout Jalen Haralson Jalen Haralson 6'7" | PG La Lumiere | 2025 #8 Nation IN got the first bucket of the with a great cut to the rim. Carmel and Belmont commit Sam Orme Sam Orme 6'9" | SF Carmel | 2023 State #196 Nation IN would star off hot getting the first few buckets for the Greyhounds. Haralson would actually be guarding Orme here and would do so all night. The two best players on the floor battling each other was night sight to see. Along with Orme hot start, 2023 forward Jake Griffin Jake Griffin 6'2" | SG Carmel | 2023 State IN would bust a couple of threes and the entire Carmel team played so stingy defense. Carmel led 16-11 at the end of the first quarter.
The second quarter would start off wit a deep three, something that he is continuing to develop in his overall game. 2025 guard JonAnthony Hall JonAnthony Hall 6'1" | PG Fishers | 2025 State IN would then follow with a strong baseline drive. He is so athletic and can be a play maker. This was the quarter that Haralson got going. His best play of the night was smooth post reverse move that led to a baseline dunk. 2023 forward Spencer White Spencer White 6'5" | SF Carmel | 2023 State IN would also hit his first three of the game in the quarter. The half would end with Fishers leading 23-22 after Haralson hit a three at the buzzer. He had 12 points at this time.
The third quarter was where 2025 Fishers shooting guard Taden Metzger finally got going. He hit a big corner three and then Haralson followed with another three. The Fishers lead jumped to 29-22. After a Carmel timeout to settle things down, Orme would get the Greyhounds’ first points of the half. He would also have a awesome steal and slam that put them momentum on Carmel’s side. Carmel forward Jared Bonds Jared Bonds 6'5" | PF Carmel | 2023 State IN would also have some tough buckets in the paint in the quarter. Fishers’ Metzger would hit a three at the buzzer making the game tied at 40 heading into the fourth quarter.
The fourth quarter was a back-and-forth affair like expected. Carmel’s Griffin would start off with a beautiful shot fake and then would hit a corner three after that. The momentum of Carmel got halted once White fouled out putting one of their best players on the bench for the remainder of the game. Fisher led 51-49 at the 1:15 mark and Carmel called a timeout. Out of the timeout, Orme got an easy bucket and Haralson could not convert at the buzzer. We head into OT!
It was back-and-forth like it was the entire game. Fishers would try to hold for the final shot but Orme would steal the ball and get the go ahead fast break bucket to win the game. Both Orme and Haralson led all scorers with 25 points.
Just an incredible game and both teams proved why they are two of the best in the state.
