Jake Bennett
Jake Bennett
Jake Bennett is a good rim runner who plays as a big at this level but may need to improve his handle a bit to be to able to stretch out to the perimeter a bit more at the next level. Bennett is able to outrun and get position ahead of most opponents but needs to work on his touch/finishing to be able to capitalize on those opportunities more consistently.
Carson Brown
Carson Brown
Carson Brown is a great drive and kick creator who also stretches the defense as a catch and shoot threat. Brown took over for Tesoro on Monday afternoon with 22 points and 5 three pointers. He exhibits great strength/body control when he attacks the basket and this body control allows him to improvise and effectively find teammates even when he’s blocked off.
Isaiah Bernard Isaiah Bernard 6’5″ | SF Foothill | 2024 State CA-S continued his all around strong play on Monday afternoon against San Clemente by chipping in 9 points in a well rounded effort. Bernard showed good ability to operate out of the high post in this one and was once again a force on the glass.
Jacob McFarland Jacob McFarland 6’10” | C Rancho Verde | 2023 State #75 Nation CA-S dominated the game on Monday night with 7 blocked shots against CDM. McFarland uses his size well but definitely will need to put on weight at the next level. Jacob could even be more dominant if he improved his footwork and touch around the basket.
Dane Johnson
Dane Johnson
Dane Johnson is a constant threat on offensive glass for Edison and showed that in a close win over St. Margaret’s on Monday night. Dane chipped in 6 points but created numerous second chance opportunities for his teammates. Johnson would do well to add even a free throw line jumper in order to add another layer to his game.
