Best Young Player
The 6’9 big is not only helping his team with excellent play he is helping himself on the recruiting board as this young Class of 2026 prospect is going to be a double-double machine. Best center in the class for sure and if he continues at this pace he is going to fly up the charts when it comes to the ranking, especially out of the state. Great upside.
Best Scorer
Hard to argue when a kid is putting up 40 a game. Recruiting could heat up here soon as those numbers seem to stay consistent.
Biggest Surprise
Timpview High School
Timpview was suppose to be going through some growing pains as they lost a lot of players and were going to rely on young talent to help keep them afloat. Dean Rueckert Dean Rueckert 6'7" | SF Timpview | 2026 State UT has been better than advertised. Will be in the conversation when it comes to national rankings. James Rust James Rust 6'5" | CG Timpview | 2023 State UT has been tough as nails as he plays with no fear and he is playing inside and out. Role players are really coming in clutch as well. Timpview has an impressive resume after beating Wasatch Academy and Cyprus.
Stealing and Dealing
Jordan is one of the best IQ defenders in the state and the way he can sling the ball around like a QB finding open players all over the floor it is easy to see why a school like Utah State would want him as he fits exactly what they are looking to do as he plays just like their two backcourt mates right now. Jordan is likely going to average 7+ assist and steals a game the way he is playing.
Two Way Player
I don’t think it is even close as David is one of the best two way players in the state and he is proving it at those high platforms playing against talent. David will continue to garner attention as his team plays a national schedule and that schedule will continue to get tougher and he will matchup up against the best guards in the country.
