A lot of dual sport athletes as well. Here are the Top 5 players in the state regardless of class in no particular order.
This kid gets better every time he hits the floor. He scores in bunches and is always in attack mode. He has a team that shares the ball so the ball can move and find him again. This is an underrated quality that not everyone has on their respective teams. The kid has range from all over. You can’t really force him a certain way because he will find an advantage. If you give him too much space he will raise up and knock one down. Idaho State truly got. steal as he is proving that he is at least a MM prospect.
When you look at the way things are trending at the college and pro level they are really using big athletes that can pass and score from all over. Position-less basketball and that is exactly the position that Isaac falls in. Isaac plays center for his high school. He is listed as a PF and plays the 4 on his club team but he is truly post-passing-wing. He is big and just quick off the first jump. He has that fade-away down at the 15 foot mark. He can trail hit three’s. He is very effective on drag screens that eventually lead to lobs. He runs the floor and he is just going to get quicker and stronger at the next level.
Would have loved to see Blake play at The Damien Classic or at The Tarkanian to see him play against other quality D1 bigs. Right now he is a man amongst men. He rebounds and runs the floor like a guard. He plays hard and gets rewarded inn the post and with quick passes that give him easy buckets. He is killing it on defense altering and blocking shots. Lake City has to be one of the better teams out West with their duo.
Liam reminds us of one of those boxers that just jabs you to death and maybe waits for a moment or two when he can get a really good shot off on you. He was stellar last night in a loss at The Damien Classic. He was just ready at any moment at any spot on the floor. He rebounds really well and has a smooth touch around the rim. Shoots it well and just finds ways to compete. D1 kid with a lot growth left in him.
Highlights
Kase could be in one of those Energizer Batteries commercial because he is relentless and never stops. Almost a one man recking crew. Dude is putting up crazy numbers. He is just going for kill shots from all over the floor. He is dunking and mid-ranging and casting from way beyond the arc.
