1. Micah Breaux – Chadwick 2023
Breaux is a strong, physical guard who was playing in the frontcourt due to matchups and his size. He can get to the basket with ease and finish through traffic. Uses his strength to muscle his way through the defense. Able to draw fouls and get to the free-throw line consistently. Handles the ball well and he’s a good passer in transition. He’s comfortable creating his own shot and is able to play as the primary ball-handler.
2. Franklin Moore – Lawndale 2025
Moore came off the bench but had an immediate impact offensively. He’s comfortable with the ball in his hands and creating his shot in the halfcourt. Can spin away from the defense to get separation and a better look at the rim. Likes to shoot the little jumper in the mid-post. Can use his size to play in the post and get position, also able to pass back out of the post. Runs the floor well and gets out in transition.
3.
Tyler Hunt

– Venice 2024
Hunt has a case for being the top player in City Section this season. He’s a very good rebounder for a guard and isn’t afraid to mix it up among the bigs. Good offensive rebounder. He can handle the ball and he pushes the pace in transition. Can finish strong at the rim through traffic. Very good off the dribble game; he creates his own shot consistently and gets separation to get his shot off in the midrange.
4.
Jeremiah Hampton

– Windward 2025
Hampton can handle the ball and he plays well in transition. He shoots it well off the dribble in the midrange and can is a good shooter from three-point range off the catch. Good rebounding guard on the defensive end. Good handles under defensive pressure and off ball he runs the floor well and makes himself available for the pass.
5.
Anthony Ivey

– St Monica 2023
Ivey has played as a big the games I’ve seen but he is a natural wing. What stands out to me the most is his ability to take on tough defensive matchups on the wing. He uses his size and length to disrupt offensive players and force them into difficult shots/passes. He can handle the ball a bit and he’s able to make plays in the halfcourt. Good face up shooter from three-point range.
