Filled with exciting matchups throughout the the event, some faces made a statement on their impact for their team. These are the X-factors that can make a difference when stepping up.
Aiden Mckee – 6’8 Class of 2023 Strake Jesuit
McKee put on his hard hat for their matchup against Bellaire. The small forward will have to hold down the paint after losing their 6’10 big to the prep route. Aiden is a blue-collar player that plays strong. He can operate at the high elbow, looking for the opening to drive hard.
Kyane Taylor – 6’3 Class of 2024 Cypress Creek High School
Where Taylor will help the cougars is his playmaking ability. Does nice job at penetrating towards the rim and dumping the pass off when the help slides over. Can withstand body contact in the air and finish over defender.
Noah Neumann Noah Neumann 6'0" | SG Good Vision Academy | 2025 TX – 6’0 Class of 2025 Bellaire High School
Noah can shoot the lights out when he gets hot. Runs around the coming off screens, and also setting off-ball screens. Tough and scrappy player that initiates contact on screens. If he can create for others it’ll open up more opportunities for Bellaire offense
Anthony Andrews Anthony Andrews 6'7" | PF Bellaire | 2025 State #367 Nation TX – 6’7 Class of 2025 Bellaire High School
Andrews was the most impressive player I saw. Played so well picked up an offer from Texas A&M. Dropped a silent 27 points against Strake Jesuit operating download. His footwork is incredible around the rim. Have plenty of tools in his bag to give out post work. The play that stood out to me was when the ball swung his way , took one dribble inside the three point line, then took two long steps to finish for the And-one.
Kolin Polk – 6’0 Class of 2023 Manvel High School
Only was able to watch the first quarter, but Polk is playing more physical. Setting solid screens for shooters to get open then knocking down open shots himself. Vocal on both ends of the floor. Seem to be playing with more confidence.
