Shelton might very well be the most dominant 2025 prospect in the Houston area, his maturity with the ball in his hands is light years above his competitors, allowing him to get anywhere he wants with his handle. His frame allows him to finish anything he wants down low, and his athleticism gives him the threat to throw it DOWN on his defenders, or send your shot careening off the back board. He has massive hands that allow him to catch tough passes and quickly put the ball on the floor to get out of trouble. He is fearless at attacking the rim and is a beast at finishing through contact. He is dominant at using quick moves out of a triple threat to get his defender off balance and attack the basket. Henderson’s aggressiveness and ability to get into the actual paint with a live dribble is elite already. However his aggressiveness is not only on the offensive end of the floor as he hunts for his shots in the mid-range and the paint, he is great at tying up ball handlers as they go to split a double team or get free after a rebound. He was great at getting his long arms into his opponent and poking the ball free, or coming up with chase down blocks. His frame and strength on the defensive end of the floor should allow him to easily defend guards and wings, even at the next level. This is one elite prospect that you need to keep your eyes on over the next few years.
Bryce Jackson Bryce Jackson 6'5" | SG Shadow Creek | 2025 TX 2025 6’5 Shadow Creek High School
Bryce is a dominant player who can play positions 2-4 with his unique blend of skill, size and defensive awareness. His long arms and ability to move his feet make him a very versatile and effective defender. He is elite at tying up ball handlers and coming away with steals, and his aggressiveness and willingness to attack on that end of the floor is a joy to watch. He can already defend the perimeter at a division one level, and loves taking the ball and racing the other way for fast break opportunities. He is very consistent when he has the basketball, and knows when to catch and shoot, put the ball on the floor and attack the rim or look to make the extra pass. Jackson seems to grow another leap every time I go see him play. His shot making off of the catch is real weapon, and he is very consistent in the corners and on the wings. I was very sad to hear the news about his injury, and hope for a speedy recovery so I can see this young man as soon as possible. Even though he might not be on the court for a while, this is a name you CANNOT forget.
Jackson Shockley 2025 6’4 Denton Guyer High School
Jackson is a dynamic dual sport athlete who produces on the gridiron and the hardwood. Shockley is a smart quarterback for his football team as well, which is not surprising when you watch him play and lead his team through his on court actions. I was very impressed at the patience and leadership he displayed on the defensive end of the court, anchoring his team’s defense while also calling out assignments to his teammates on the perimeter. His size allows him to bang and fight down low, and he loves putting his shoulder and weight into his opponent to create separation. He knows how to use his size to dominant on the interior, but is a capable and dynamic athlete in the full court as well. I loved watching him operate out of the high post and out of the triple threat, where he used jab steps to create separation for himself. It was really fun watching him lead his team in every aspect of the game, and shows what kind of natural leadership qualities this young man has in him already.
Ross St. Aime 2025 6’5 Clear Brook High School
Ross is a skilled player who can dominate with his back to the basket, take you off the bounce or set up his teammates. He is a lanky prospect with great length and ability to rebound the ball and dominate on the glass. He is great at using his length to routinely score over the top of his opponents in the paint. He routinely scored with his back to the basket and works hard to seal his opponents off in the paint. He showed an ability to get downhill with a live dribble as well, however I would like to see him get more aggressive off the bounce. He has all the tools to easily score over anyone from the mid range and in the paint.
Jackson Beauchamp 2025 6’3 Byron High School
Jackson is a tough player who can make all of the right reads, distribute the ball, move into space and more importantly defend positions 2-5 effortlessly. On the defensive end of the floor, he is strong in the post yet can move his feet to keep wings and guards in front of him. He was not afraid to come out and defend on the perimeter whenever he was switched on the pick and roll and was confident in using his length to harass ball handlers. He is calm and confident with a live dribble, and can create space with crossovers and manipulate defense’s through the pick and roll. I was very impressed in the ease in which he got into the paint off the dribble. He consistently made the right decision to either dump it off to his big or go up strong and attack the rim. Beauchamp is a highly skilled player with his handle and ability to distribute the ball in the full court.
