There were 3 sessions 4 teams per session playing each other about 35minutes. Here are some standouts from the first session.
Kody Weary 6’6 2023 Forward of Modesto Christian HS. The 6’6 forward returns to NorCal looking to establish himself as one of the areas better players. He was active in and around the paint on both ends. He used his length to defend and get rebounds. He ran the court well, found ways to score around the basket. At 6’6 he showed he could rebound and run the transition break, with good passing.
Zach Chauhan 6’3 2024 Wing of Clovis West HS. It was our first look at Chauhan. He might be operating under the radar with some of the other players on this team, but he played well at this event. At 6’3 he has the knack to be an effective scorer around the basket. His cutting, and moving toward the basket from different angles, and ability to finish around long armed defenders.
Logan Robeson Logan Robeson 6'1" | SG Campolindo | 2023 State CA-N 6’3 2023 Guard of Campolindo HS. He comes into his Senior season looking to be an aggressive scorer when he has the ball in his hands. The lefty didn’t shy away from contact as he used his dribble to go hard left to the bucket with good success. He’ll look to knock down 3’s if he’s open spotting up on the catch or coming off screens.
Luka Radovanovic 6’6 2024 PF of Vanden HS. He’s a good shooter that can knock down the 3pt shot if left unattended. During one stretch of the game he hit back-to-back 3’s. He can hit the short jumper as well. He’s a player that can knock down 3’s coming up off screens, in transition, or spotting up in the corner for a catch and shoot 3ptr.
Isaac Martinez 5’11 2023 SG of Clovis West HS. He’s an experienced player that competes, and goes hard on the court. He has a good set of guard skills that allow him to handle the ball often on this team, passing, or looking to put points on the board. He has good movement and finds ways to get open. He’s been a consistent shooter that can knock down the mid-range, and paint jumper.
BJ Davis BJ Davis 6'2" | CG Modesto Christian | 2023 State #182 Nation CA-N 6’1 2023 Guard of Modesto Christian HS. A recent San Diego St. commit gave us a glimpse of whats to come this season. The lightning quick guard doesn’t lack confidence. He’s trouble in transition, and on the perimeter using quickness, crossovers and other sharp moves to effectively get to the basket, and score. He scored in every way a guard can score. His jump shot goes in long and short.
Shane O’Reilly Shane O’Reilly 6'4" | SG Campolindo | 2023 State CA-N 6’3 SG of Campolindo HS. He’s a good mover, and cutter when he doesn’t have the ball. He looks to shoot coming off screens. His improved ball handling skills allow him to create shot opportunities off the dribble. He had a couple of strong takes to the basket in transition and using his dribble in half-court. He’ll hit the open 3ptr, and help on the boards.
Justiz Wilson Justiz Wilson 5'11" | PG Rodriquez | 2023 State CA-N 5’10 2023 PG of Vanden HS. He’s a strong body point guard with good handles and speed. He’s more of a pass first type who sees the court in transition to pass it up or find a scorer on the penetration drive, kick-outs and dump-offs. He can hit the floater, and paint jumper. He’s a good on ball defender that can stay in front of other speedy ball handlers.
