Cade Capps Cade Capps 6'5" | SG Stone Memorial | 2025 State #210 Nation TN is averaging 29.0 ppg through the team’s first three games. Capps’ rebounding is up (8.3 rpg) from last year (5.8 rpg) and his defense improved with a commitment to the weight room during the off-season. Capps leads the team with 2.3 steals per and his 0.3 bpg is a nice help too.
Like Cade, Matthew Bilbrey Matthew Bilbrey 6'0" | PG Stone Memorial | 2023 State TN earned PrepHoopsTN Combine All-Star. Bilbrey was one of the better scorers at the mid-October event and Capps was a fantastic combine participant in June of 2021. Bilbrey and Capps are truly the only scorers on the squad.
Bilbrey, Blake Holt, Capps, Conner Bowman Conner Bowman 5'11" | SF Stone Memorial | 2023 State TN all started for the 2021-2022 Panthers. Since New Year’s Day 2022, Stone Memorial and these men own a record of 19-4. Their experience pushing SMHS to 22 wins is invaluable.

Seniors Jaxon Reed and Braeden Woodard vaulted the Jets to a win over McMinn Central earlier this week. Reed will play college golf with Lee University, signing back on November 15th. Expect juniors Ethan Dixon, Nolen Carter to bolster the defense. Freshman Solomon Sitton is seeing time. Asher Mifflin and Noah Ledbetter dress as freshmen.
This is Cumberland County Head Coach Taylor Denney’s second season at the helm.
