Adrian is a high level guard who can score at will from all three levels, confidently scoring off the catch and dominating on the interior after exploding to the rim with his handle. I was very impressed with his game, size, handle and ability to confidently score. He is a real weapon when he gets an opportunity to set his feet and knock down timely shots to punish the defense. He is such a high level shooter that coaches will let him pull up in transition, confidently spotting up from the wings and running to the corners for open looks. Where he is a special difference maker is how he handles the ball and gets himself and his teammates involved in the scoring output. He consistently got to the rim after knocking down a few shots on the perimeter. He used the attention he drew to his advantage and attacked his defenders hard as they closed out on him. He has good size for the guard position, and he is a willing player on the glass and loves to go coast to coast when able.
Qasim Boyd Qasim Boyd 6'0" | PG Dickinson | 2024 State TX 2024 6’0 Dickinson High School
Qasim is a confident and shifty guard who can play on or off the ball and find great success. I was very impressed with his shot making ability off the catch, but also how confident he was operating was the team’s point guard. He will have another year playing off of a dominant senior guard, giving him more opportunities to show off his versatility on the offensive end of the court before being handed the reigns next year for Dickinson. Where he really stood out to me was his energy and intensity that he brought on the defensive end of the court. He is great at moving his feet and staying in front of high level guards. He was not afraid to press them in the full court and was a smart trapping help defender on the sidelines and the wings. The intensity and energy he brings to his team always stands out when he is on the court. Expect him and his teammates to be making some elite highlights this year, get out and see this Dickinson team this year if you can!
Narit Chotikavanic Narit Chotikavanic 6'3" | CG Plano East | 2024 State TX 2024 6’2 McMillen High School
Narit is a silky smooth and confident scorer off the catch, who can effortlessly light it up with his quick trigger and high level shooting ability. He easily can score from the wings and corners, confidently rising up in a defender’s face and maintaining good shot mechanics even despite intense defense. Chotikavanic operates incredibly well out of the corners where he is a threat to catch and shoot, but also put the ball on the floor and blow by his opposition. I loved his touch he displayed from range, and did so off the catch but more impressively off the bounce. He routinely made space beyond the arc and confidently rose above his competition. I loved his overall court vision and ability to pass the ball, he truly created a multitude of looks for his teammates. As the defense started to garner more attention to him, he calmly made all of the right reads and set his teammates for effortless buckets. He puts just the right amount of touch on every pass, especially the ones to beat the fast break, consistently putting his 3/4 court passes right on the money.
Elijah Guidry 2024 6’0 MacArthur High School
Elijah is an elusive guard who specializes in creating separation with a live dribble and getting into the teeth of the defense with his handle. I loved watching him consistently get into the paint after absolutely shaking his opponent out of their shoes. He is aggressive and wants to rip your heart out every time down the court. He thrives on attacking his opponent and then finishing at the rim with aggressiveness and confidence. He has all the characteristics of a dog on the court, and I cannot wait to watch him develop into a high level guard at the next level.
James Livingston 2024 5’11 San Antonio Cole High School
James is a special shooter who can consistently make the defense pay if you give him time to square up his shoulders and get his feet set. He has a quick trigger and is always ready to catch and shoot, hands ready to catch the ball and then quickly go up with it. He can also effortlessly can create a look for himself off the dribble. His ability to create space with his handle allows him to score at all three levels. He had multiple instances where he danced around a defender to create himself a look. He even displayed an ability to hit tough fade aways at the mid post and with his back to the basket. I would like to see him continue to develop his passing ability and how he creates for his teammates. He is beginning to draw more and more defense’s attention and will be an even more deadly option as he punishes the help defense.
