Best Uncommitted Guards

The latest Top 10 guard to commit was Jasen Brooks Jasen Brooks 6'1" | PG Cleveland | 2023 State TN , who selected San Diego.  He will almost certainly sign to San Diego in November, at his first opportunity.

The players in the second list, the ‘Needs New Eval’ bunch were sorted within these positional rankings very high, but without seeing them play on film or in-person in the last nine months there inclusion is not really fair to the players who we did see.  Joshua Hood Joshua Hood 6'4" | SG Brainerd | 2023 State TN , for example, is ranked #23 overall in Tennessee and he is probably a Top 10 shooting guard, but we simply do not know.  So, he is in the second list below.

Alex Hyder Alex Hyder 6'3" | SG Cleveland | 2023 State TN — “His recruitment has been solid, steady,” said Cleveland High Head Coach Reggie Tucker.  “[Chattanooga] is coming tomorrow (11/2).   It is going pretty well.  They are coming to check him out. Texas A&M-Commerce has been showing interest.”  TAMU-Commerce ascended into Division I just this year, instantly joining the Southland Conference with TAMU-CC, McNeese, New Orleans, Nicholls, Incarnate Word, and Houston Baptist.   “Lees-McRae are on him really tough.  Marshall reached out…He took unofficial visits to Austin Peay, UTC.”

8. Anthony Medlock Anthony Medlock 6'5" | SG Germantown | 2023 State TN – Ideal wing height.  Medlock thrived as a ball-handling guard during the PrepHoops 250 Expo in the middle of September.  His capacity to create is greater than most players on this list.

Charvez Ambrose Charvez Ambrose 6'5" | SG Bartlett | 2023 State TN – Charvez will be a dominant player for Bartlett this winter.  While he was a wonderful shooter and slasher last year, the two senior guards owned the basketball and really ran the offense and scoring.  Charvez showed at the PrepHoops 250 Expo mid-September that he can run a team, pass, score, rebound, etc.  He looks like a fringe D1 prospect, probably a future LM starter.
