2023 6’6 Plano Senior High School
Nikk is a unique prospect with his incredible handle, aggressiveness and ability to finish in the paint. He is the perfect prospect to slide into the three or four spot on your team with his ability to use his quick feet to get around defenders, but also stay with his opponents on the offensive end of the floor. I was very impressed by his ability to turn the corner on bigger defenders, and use his frame to absorb contact on his way to the rim. His head always seemed to be moving in search of the next play or where the ball was going to end up next, which allowed him to play in the passing lanes. I was very impressed with his on court awareness on both ends, he made timely cuts to the rim that allowed his teammates to find him. Expect Williams to absolutely wreak havoc this year for Plano Senior!
Antoine Silvers Jr 2023 6’4 MacArthur High School
Antoine is an aggressive player who gets it done on both ends of the court. I loved his demeanor and willingness to play on both ends of the floor. He defends the perimeter at the highest level, but has enough size and aggressiveness to play in the paint as well. He is great at using his quick feet and agility to keep his opponent in front of him while also using his athleticism to leap and meet his opponent at the rim. His play style on the defensive end of the court is ready to translate to the next level already. He has an improving handle, allowing him to initiate offense and get downhill. He is a beast in the open court, allowing him to get up and down the court with ease. He is a very intelligent player with very high basketball IQ. There were many instances in which he made the right extra pass to set up his teammate for an even better shot. I loved watching him manipulate the defense with his aggressiveness and his overall basketball awareness.
2023 6’6 Cypress Lake High School
Didi is an impressive force at the wing position, with broad shoulders and good strength on his frame. He is great at using his size to finish over the top of smaller defenders with his back to the basket, but also while attacking them off the bounce. He is able to easily create space with his handle and take bigger defender’s off the bounce. I was very impressed by how well his handle has improved over the last year, calmly handling the ball and operating out of the triple threat to attack defenders. He is calm with a live dribble and has his head up to make the right pass ahead in transition when necessary. He fired a tight bounce pass on the fast break that hit his teammate in stride for an easy layup. On the defensive end, he offers great rim protection and he is great at staying vertical to affect the shots on the interior.
Noah Babineaux 2023 6’5 Obra D. Tompkins High School, TX (CyFair Elite HTX 2023)
Noah is a crafty wing who can play small ball center if necessary but also operate on the perimeter if you want to play in a five out system. He showed an impressive handle for his size and an ability to get two feet in the paint in many situations. He is great at using his quickness and agility which pair extremely well with his size and ability to take bigger opponents off the bounce. Where I have been the most impressed with his game was how he can operate out of the high post and make good decisions. I was also very impressed with his hands and his ability to catch tough passes that were not put on his body.
Larry Lyon 2023 6’4 Dawson High School
Larry is an athletic wing who has really improved over the last two years. He has always been an impressive athlete, throwing down emphatic dunks and routinely finishing in the paint over smaller defenders. His aggressiveness and energy on the fast break is just what his team needs, either leaking out for easy buckets, staying in his lane, or acting as the trailer slicing down the paint. He has dramatically improved his handle, allowing him to get into the teeth of the defense with ease. He makes his bread by playing off the ball however, making timely cuts and flashing to the front of the rim for easy looks.
