Here at Prep Hoops PA, our updated 2025 rankings dropped on Tuesday and a variety of talented players are being covered this week. The staff at Prep Hoops Pennsylvania has diligently gathered information and worked extremely hard to develop an extraordinarily comprehensive list of over 325 high school basketball student-athletes. This group of sophomores has the balance of talent to be the most heavily recruited group in a long time throughout the state. Many young men have been in constant communication with college coaches, while a large number of others are starting to garner collegiate attention as well. Listed below are the skilled performers that entered the rankings at a high level for our current update.
Entered at #36 / Antonio Laure Antonio Laure 5'10" | CG Rochester | 2025 State PA / 5’9 shooting guard / Rochester High School / A starter as a freshman last season, he looks to make even more strides this season to improve his game. Antonio will continue to develop confidence in his ability on the floor.
Entered at #46 / DeSean Gordon DeSean Gordon 5'10" | SG Imani Christian Academy | 2025 State PA / 5’10 shooting guard / Imani Christian Academy High School / This young man likes to score from the perimeter and out on the fast break for his team. DeSean will have a bigger role this upcoming winter for his squad.
Entered at #47 / Tom Pipkins III Tom Pipkins III 5'8" | PG Hopewell | 2025 State PA / 5’9 combo guard / Hopewell High School / An above average ball handler with precision passing skills who creates opportunities for his teammates. Tom is a “lockdown” defender that is a quality difference-maker for the Vikings.
Entered at #78 / Sean Thelk Sean Thelk 5'10" | SG Peters Township | 2025 State PA / 5’10 / shooting guard / Peters Township High School / He is capable of scoring in bunches throughout a contest from a variety of spots on the court. Sean has a high basketball IQ which makes him similar to a coach on the floor which shows his leadership skills.
Entered at #91 / Daniel Batch Daniel Batch 5'11" | PG Montour | 2025 State PA / 6’0 wing forward / Montour High School / This quick, athletic wing has the speed and agility to cause havoc on the defensive end utilizing his quick hands. Daniel brings the toughness needed to dominate the glass each game on offense and defense.
Entered at ##95 / Brent Hamel Brent Hamel 5'9" | SG Mt. Lebanon | 2025 State PA / 5’11 / shooting guard / Mt. Lebanon High School / A skilled passer who owns a solid assist-to-turnover ratio which makes him difficult to guard in the half court set. Brent likes to do whatever it takes to help his team be successful.
Entered at #106 / BJ Nastick BJ Nastick 5'9" | SG Central Valley | 2025 State PA / 5’11 / shooting guard / Central Valley High School / He brings the energy and hustle to the hardwood every game to support his team. BJ continues to work hard to improve his skills which can lead to more playing time this high school season.
Entered at #111 / Nathan Wesling Nathan Wesling 6'0" | CG Baldwin | 2025 State PA / 6’0 combo guard / Baldwin High School / Look for this “lights out” shooter to utilize his quick release coming off screens to score from long distance. Nathan is an above-average free-throw shooter who always wants the ball in his hands at the end of a game.
