It’s time to highlight some uncommitted seniors from the western part of Kentucky that will look to have a big final season as they could find themselves on a college basketball roster next year.
Jaxson Floyd
Jaxson Floyd
Floyd is a solid point guard with good strength & size that does a good job running the team. Has deep range after shooting 37% from 3pt last season making a team high 49 – 3pt makes on the year. Strong driver and does a good job finishing thru contact. Has the ability to takeover a game scoring the ball. Will look to improve on his 14.1 PPG from last season.
Powers is an elite shooter that has deep 3pt range. Very compact / effortless shot. Knockdown shooter, especially off the catch. Has the ability to shoot off the dribble in the mid-range. Not much of a driver but can operate around the basket. Made a team high 67 – 3pt makes last season. Would be a valuable add to a team at the next level looking for a high level shooter.
Highlights
Carbon has a knack of scoring the basketball after averaging 20.3 ppg last year. Great at getting to the rim and also in transition. Constantly putting pressure on the defense with his athleticism. One of the better scorers and athletes in the state. Would be a great late get for a school.
Webb is a long & good athlete that impacts the game on both sides of the ball. Has great instincts defensively to block shots and get deflections. His length causes teams problems when trying to finish around the rim. Has good touch offensively around the rim as well. Versatile forward at the next level.
Blanton is a strong, mobile and physical forward. Really good operating out of the mid-post, able to drive it with either direction or shoot. Good finishing thru contact. Has capable 3pt range but that isn’t his strength. Great footwork in the post and does a really good job creating space for easy angles at the rim. Can be a mismatch nightmare if he is put at the center spot.
