We introduce our updated Class of 2024 rankings!! Rankings are subjective and PrepHoops.com ranks purely upon potential and where the player will be at their basketball peak. Production factors in only when helping prove the potential is greater or lesser. Why did we rank these guys? Why are they at this spot? Take a look at five Class of 2024 prospects and learn a little about their reputation.
Peruse the complete 2024 rankings.
Maddux Routh Maddux Routh 6'5" | SF C.P.A. | 2024 State TN – Great height for the two-guard spot. He can probably play 2-4 in high school, but his future will be a D2/D3 wing scorer. Not explosive, but extremely gritty. Understands floor spacing. Understands how to bait a defender. Maddux plays like a C.P.A. player in all of the best ways. Team-concept. Elite shooting touch. Unselfish. Efficient.
Caden Windle Caden Windle 6'6" | SF William Blount | 2024 State TN – Bulked up in the last year. His promise turned into production. The future is bright and the present is exciting. Windle’s baseline handle and shooting touch earned him extra attention during the 2021 PrepHoopsTN Summer Combine. The AAU success continued the upward trajectory.
Drew Brillhart Drew Brillhart 6'5" | SF Bearden | 2024 State TN – Earned his early varsity minutes with the ability to defend multiple positions and rebound. Last winter Brillhart managed two State Tournament game minutes for a Runners-Up squad. Since his freshman year with Bearden, Drew developed offensive skills tremendously. The lefty is always looking, always hunting for the angle, the pass. He is very unselfish though supremely capable of scoring. Brillhart’s knack for scoring in the lane is wonderful for a future shooting guard. Many of his buckets come around the rim now, but his shooting form looks sound and the player gets results from deeper range too.
Dontae Potts-Heard Dontae Potts-Heard 6'3" | PG Cookeville | 2024 TN – Elite court awareness. Dontae’s older brother signed to Calvin University in Michigan and Dontae will also be a college basketball player someday. The junior was able to score with floaters, free throws, three-pointers last season. His speed is ok, but he works best by changing pace. Potts-Heard projects as a point guard…probably. There is some catch-and-shoot potential and the 6-foot-3 starter gets to the rim better than most middle Tennessee point guards.
