SubscribeThe new Prephoops class of 2024 rankings have been released. The class featured several big-time Wing players. Here’s a look at some of the state’s top Bigs.
The top Center in the state is also a National prospect. Maker dominates games with his shot blocking and rebounding ability. He has shown an improved offensive game, finishing plays above the rim after he catches the ball. His ceiling is obvious as the more he improves on the offensive end, the more his stock will rise.
Lemke is a knock down shooter that was also featured as one of my stockrisers. He is a finesse big, that stretches the floor with his shooting. He’s gradually adding other areas of his game, including scoring more with his back to the basket. With him having two premium skills, size, and shooting, keep an eye on him as we move toward viewing periods.
Ellena is one of the state’s top high academic bigs. His best skill is his ability to protect the rim, as he does a good job of positioning his body in the lane, and walling up against opponent. He is an improving rebounder, and can score off close range putbacks. As his offensive game improves, look for him to garner more attention from high academic programs.
Another stockriser, Whittle has really improved his body and game. His new frame has allowed him to change ends of the floor in a much more fluid fashion. He is a below the rim rebounder, however he’s massive enough to simutaneously hold off opponents while snatching boards. The best part of his game, is his low post skills, as he as shown the abiliy to score with his back to the basket in a variety of ways.
Nwuli is a bully with balerina feet. He has the size and strength to defend taller post players, and is a relentless rebounder. He plays hard, and is the perfect hard hat, glue guy for a championship caliber high school program.
A two sport star, Wesbrook is a versatile big that can impact games with his high post passing and outside shooting. On a stacked high school program, his additional depth as well as ability to stretch the floor could be valuable to the program.
