Note: The college commitment is the FIRST school that player committed, it has not been updated for players who have transferred. In this article we’re going to take a look at where the prospects playing Division I basketball this season are now at. Some have switched programs, but most are at their same school.
Our top ranked prospect Malaki Branham was a one and done at Ohio State and was a first round pick by the San Antonio Spurs. The 2021 prospects still at high major programs include Logan Duncomb (Indiana) Kobe Johnson (West Virginia) Kalen Etzler (Ohio State) and Seth Wilson (West Virginia).
Some prospects have already transferred to different Division I programs including Meechie Johnson (Early enrollee at Ohio State, now at South Carolina) Jalin Billingsley (Georgetown to Eastern Michigan) while others have transferred out of Division I, Luke Chicone (Youngstown State to John Carroll) Tasos Cook (Stetson to Vincennes) and Bryon Ottrix (Detroit to Slippery Rock).
Two players also took post-grad years and improved their stock to become Division I prospects. Those two players were Keyshawn Hall (UNLV) and Anthony McComb (Bowling Green).
The MAC is well represented with McComb, Nate Johnson (Akron) Cliron Hornbeak (Kent State) Aj Clayton (Ohio) Ej Farmer (Toledo) Kobe Mitchell (Akron) and Jalen Sullinger (Kent State). Other Division I athletes include Desmond Watson (Davidson) Dj Moore (Liberty) Isaiah Walker (Belmont) Alex Williams (Furman) Aj Braun (Wright State) Aidan Noyes (Richmond) Corey Tripp (Wofford) Tyrese Hughey (Furman) Josh Irwin (Youngstown State) Trey Woodyard (Valpo) Keaton Norris (Wright State) Quincy Clark (Lipscomb) Marquis Barnett (Presbyterian).
We also want to shout out all the non-Division I athletes from the 2021 class in Ohio. There would be way too many to name everyone but check out the full rankings linked above to see where your favorite player committed to. Note: if a player transferred after their freshman year that is not updated, the commitment is from the first school out of high school.
