SubscribeThe 2023 class in New England is loaded with talent at all positions, but notably, there is a ton of depth and talent at the wing and forward positions. We’re going to be diving into some of the more underrated, yet talented players in the class from New England.
Phillips Andover’s Duggan has been a stock riser as of late. The 6’7″ wing has been offered by many top-tier programs. He’s very skilled for his size, and he’s come along well as a shooter. He’s more than just a shooter from deep, as he’s also got a solid mid-range pull-up game thanks to his excellent release.
The Brewster Academy and BABC product has a great feel for the game. He consistently makes the right reads and understands defenses well. The lengthy guard and wing hybrid has excellent physical tools. He’s emerged as a great shooter, both on-ball and off-ball. As I mentioned earlier, Frankel’s passing and playmaking abilities separates him from the rest of the pack.
The St. Sebastian’s product is another highly-talented wing in the class. Wright is an excellent shooter. He’s got great mechanics and a smooth release that allows him to get his shot off quickly. He’s great in a variety of situations and offensive actions. The shooting and scoring versatility he brings is a major plus of his game.
The RI Elite wing is extremely skilled and versatile for the position. He’s got the ball-handling abilities and skills to push the pace in transition. He’s great at attacking the rim, too. Once he’s there, he’s an efficient finisher thanks to his burst and soft touch around the rim. Defensively, Ofcarcik’s combination of length and instincts make him an above average rim protector at the position.
The Worcester Academy product is an elite shooter, and brings great positional size and versatility to any team that he’s a part of. The mechanics and off-ball movement Jones has is great. He’s going to be a very effective, efficient shooter at the next level.
