Listed at 6’10 Oseya is continuing to fill out his frame. He’s a long shot blocking rim protector who defends, and roams the paint. He’s a good court runner. His continued development on the offensive side of the ball continues to progress. He’s going to get plenty of attention with Modesto Christian playing a National Schedule.
PH NorCal has Steuben as one of the top rebounding PF prospects in NorCal. He’s strong with a solid body, and can be dominate at times grabbing rebounds for his teams. He brings some physicality to the paint as a defender. This past Spring and Summer playing against quality competition, he improved his offensive production.
He’s been a solid prospect who has steadily improved as a 3 year varsity player. He played on the UA Circuit with WCE NorCal 17U UA, against quality competition. He was a consistent player, not a stat stuffer but a player who held his own and competed when he was on the court. At 6’9 he’s a high IQ prospect with good fundamental post skills. He’s shown he can step out to hit a 3ptr.
He plays a good all-around game from the forward position and brings a versatile skill-set to this team. He’ll be a productive rebounder who’ll score points in the paint, and hit 3’s at the top or along the perimeter. He’s a triple threat at the high post.
A muscular player with good bounce, and strength to go after rebounds and blocks. He’ll defend taller players. He has a quick jump to get rebounds, and put-back point. He has a jumper in the paint, with a bit of a fade that makes him tough to guard if it’s falling.
He’s not your typical post player, he has some tools, and looks comfortable playing on the perimeter. His dribble, and pass along the perimeter gets your attention. He’s capable of hitting the corner 3. He’s made progress strengthening his body, to defend and get more rebounds, and score inside. His post foot-work is improved.
He has work to do to filling his frame. He has a high release with his left or right hand around the rim. He has good vision as a post passer, high and low, we’ve seen him execute the screen and roll with success. He keeps it high, and always looking for open teammates on the perimeter, and cuts to the basket.
He’s 6’11 and will continue to grow his post skill-set on both ends of the court. At this level he takes up space in the paint on defense. He’ll get some rebounds, block and change a few shots. Being a big target he can get a needed bucket. We’ll keep an eye on him.
