Julian suited up with Select for this tournament and he was on a stacked team. A few notables from Julian was that he was taking it upon himself to continue to evolve as a PG. He was bringing the ball up and being a distributor. He got the ball out of his hands quickly and found a lot of open shooters. with a team that was stacked it was important for him to be a facilitator. The other impressive aspect that we saw was his defense. He shut down one of the better guards in the West as he held him to minimal looks and zero points. Julian is evolving and when he gets to his high school team he is going to need to use all of his scoring and creating ability to help them win.
Pearson Carmichael || Select Black || Summit High School || 2024 ||
Pearson was impressive. Not only does he display his array of skill work out there he uses his height very well. He is a D1 kid that can play in the perimeter and in the mid-post he is elite. He had a couple of mis-matches and he went to work and he makes it look easy and effortless. Just a smart/High IQ player. Could probably play the 3 or 2 depending on school he chooses but he is a next level talent. Rebounding the ball was another part of his game that really stood out as he could clean up the boards on the offensive end and finish with ease and on the defensive end he can rebound and get that ball up the floor. If I were a MM or LM school I would put on the full-court press on him.

Kobe was consistent in this tournament. Although he wasn’t getting a lot of open looks he was playing the right way as he passed the ball and created with movement off the ball. When he did get that ball on the swing he was hitting. He is a do a little bit of everything typ eof guard and when he gets it going to the rim he can open things up for a lot of his teammates.

Solid all-around game as he is active on the board and he just has a foundation of solid go to the basket moves. He can score at all three levels and he is patient. Kase lets the game come to him and he basically takes what the defense gives him. Great positional size at around 6’5 for a 2 guard and he is not afraid to mix it up in the post or on defense against anyone.
