Graham Perkison, Newton South position PG
A quick and shifty Point Guard. He is a lockdown defender who is great in transition. He is always fired up, and brings energy on both sides of the floor. He has developed a really nice mid range pull up. He played great this weekend in a Zero Gravity tournament dropping 14 points vs the Middlesex Magic. Yoni his backcourt teammate really likes to play with him.
Josh Whitney, Newton South
Josh is a three and D type of guy. He will not miss at times from beyond the arc, and he does a great job at picking his spots. His hands are always active on defense and his long wingspans benefits him on both ends of the floor. He has been a reliable shooter this fall for B2L. He is developing his ball handling and passing. When he does that he could be very tough to match up with.
Tyson Robinson, PF
Tyson can be a huge force. He can block a shot at one end, and go down the floor and dunk. He was having a great fall season until a tough ankle injury. He developed a reliable jumper, and that tough block when he is 6-4 standing. Definitely One of the most improved players over the years. Watch out for Tyson is you see B2L 9th grade Platinum play. He could definitely be an impact player at Newton south.
Avi Burmenko PG, Newton South
Avi is a pass first point guard who can score at all three levels. He has developed a lethal jump shot, can drive both ways, and can also finish through contact. He gets a lot of steals on the defensive end and does not waste possessions on the offensive end. He uses his strength to bully opposing guards in the paint. Not an easy task to try to match up with this guard.
Yoni Shavelsky, Point Guard, Newton South
Yoni is a play making point guard who can also hit the three ball. He is always hustling and pressuring other guards on defense. He forces many turnovers. He is very effective on the pick and roll because he has the ability to pull up and shoot, or see the big on the roll. He never wastes extra possessions. Once he grows more and tightens up his ball handling he will have all the tools to be a high level point guard.
