Here’s a look at part one of some of the top DC/MD seniors that were in attendance.
Jeremiah Quigley Jeremiah Quigley 5'9" | PG Bishop McNamara | 2023 State MD | 6’1” PG | Bishop McNamara
The Farleigh Dickinson commit is set to be one of the top guards in the WCAC on a team that’s going to run a five guard system and play very fast which fits his style perfectly. He has tremendous end-to-end speed with a quick first step off the bounce to get in the lane, he is super shifty off the bounce and changes directions well and when he’s able to get in the lane he has great footwork and touch to finish or he can make plays for others as well.
Jaden Johnson Jaden Johnson 6'0" | PG Bishop McNamara | 2023 State MD | 6’2” CG | Bishop McNamara
Johnson is the other ball handler of the group and is the perfect compliment to the speedy Quigley as he is a big and physical downhill guard who can bully smaller guards and finishes extremely well in the paint. The 6’2” guard is like a bowling ball when he gets downhill as he can initiate contact and finish through it or get to the line, he can score it from multiple levels and defensively he moves his feet and uses his physicality to disrupt ball handlers and is a good help side defender too.
Chase Lawton Chase Lawton 6'1" | SG Bishop McNamara | 2023 State MD | 6’1” WG | Bishop McNamara
Lawton has improved so much over the past few years and the way he’s played over the past few months he looks like the x-factor as he brings a lot of different things to them that you might not expect. The 6’1” guard has a strong frame and isn’t afraid to mix it up inside as a rebounder and in help defense, he is a knock down shooter from deep that is confident and will let it fly in transition and he brings a toughness to the group you can’t question.
Diggy Holloway Diggy Holloway 6'3" | SF St. Charles | 2023 State MD | 6’1” PG | St. Charles
Holloway is an under the radar guard out of the Waldorf area of Maryland, and when it comes to watching him the word smooth is the first one that comes to mind. He has a tight handle with the ability to rock defenders and get in the lane easily, he has great footwork and good finishing ability with both hands and he knows how to create space to make shots from multiple levels too.
Ralph Martino Ralph Martino 6'7" | SF Shabach Christian Academy | 2023 MD | 6’5” WF | Shabach
Martino is a prospect that more coaches need to get an eye on as he has a lot of potential moving forward as he continues to develop and improve. At 6’5” he has prototypical size on the wing and is a big time athlete who plays above the rim with authority when he gets downhill and in transition, he uses his length and athleticism on the defensive end to get deflections and jump passing lanes and he can hit shots from deep when he’s left open.
Ibrahim Robinson Ibrahim Robinson 6'4" | SF Shabach Christian Academy | 2023 State MD | 6’4” WF | Shabach
Robinson is another under the radar wing who played extremely well this past weekend as the big wing showed a lot of versatility as a scorer and produced across the board too. He’s a big, strong wing who can score the ball from multiple levels and is a walking mismatch as he can get downhill and play above the rim or shoot it off the pull-up, he can guard multiple positions and he is a good rebounder as well.
