Ilan Agranovitch
Ilan Agranovitch
Agranovitch was absolutely on fire on Sunday in Mission Viejo High School. The 5’11” senior guard has a good release, is an excellent spot up shooter, excels in the catch and shoot, and is fearless with the ball. He started his day off with a five 3 ball 23 point performance against San Bernardino and would stay hot in a 29 point win over Temecula. He has a big body, isn’t shy of contact, and is deceptively creative with the rock in his hands. Several times he got to the rim and made something out of nothing including a no look off hand dime perfect to his teammate. Agranovitch is overlooked and could be contributor at a D2 and excel at the NAIA level.
A playmaking shot maker. The 2024 6’7″ wing is a multi talented player who contributes in many ways. The first thing you notice is his soft feathery jumper. Josh, much like his brother Jalen, is an excellent shooter, he hit the go ahead three pointer with 40 seconds left against West Ranch which would eventually be the game winner. Not only does he excel at spacing the floor, Goodall also does a good job of attacking the basket where has a mix of counters and moves in his repertoire when he gets near the rim. Josh currently holds an offer from Colombia University.
Tolmaire is an excellent shooting 5’10 combo guard with a fast release. He doesn’t need much time or space to get his shot off and isn’t afraid to let it fly. Tolmaire can get hot in a hurry and did so as we saw with his four 3 pointers and 17 points against a very good Arcadia team. In addition to his shooting, Tolmaire plays good defense, moves his feet and has good lateral movement. On a team that relies on shooting, Tolmaire is the perfect compliment next to new teammate Jaden Hubbard Jaden Hubbard 6’3″ | SG Orange Lutheran | 2024 State CA-S in Coach Moe Golshani’s system, and I am looking forward to seeing how deep the Diablos go this year.
Highlights
Max Sheridan
Max Sheridan
A classic spot up shooter. Sheridan is a long range sniper that possesses a fundamental text book release . The 6 ft 2023 senior for St. Monica’s Prep has deep range and isn’t afraid to show out. When he gets his feet set, there is a very high percentage that his shot will be going in. Max plays with a lot of confidence and is a threat to shoot anywhere past half court. On defense he shows good hustle and isn’t afraid to take charges. Sheridan also has a 4.1 GPA and High Academic schools need to come knocking on his door to join their program ASAP.
Loren Daniel
Loren Daniel
Daniel is a very confident shooter. The 6’2″ guard does a good job of getting his feet set, staying balanced and quickly getting his shot off. In the game against Orangewood, Daniel hit three 3s and looked near automatic at the top of the key. In addition he does a good job moving the ball and is a sound passer. There were a couple plays where he zipped the ball through traffic or threw a bounce pass perfectly to his teammate. Daniel’s outside hooting will be an integral to Balboa’s success this year.
