Here were the sophomore standouts of the five teams:
Carson Grier Carson Grier 6'7" | SF Valley Christian | 2025 State AZ Valley Christian
A bigger sized lead guard who can score and facilitate. He can drive and kick but also take it to the rim with his six foot-five frame and spin off of his defenders to score. His feel and passing separate him from some others.
Kyle Grier Kyle Grier 6'4" | SF Valley Christian | 2025 State AZ Valley Christian
Carson’s twin brother is a face-up wing forward who is tough and skilled. He can hit the catch three and he will pull-up from mid-range. He rebounds inside and is not afraid to take charges versus bigger players. Like his brother, he plays the game from the neck up.
Bobby Rodriguez Bobby Rodriguez 6'1" | PG North Valley Christian Academy | 2025 State AZ NVCA
A pure point guard is a good decision maker and will make tough shots in traffic. He works smartly off the pick and roll and will catch and shoot from the 3pt line. He takes contact well in the paint and has a nice floater game. He gets the ball out of his hands quickly down the court. When the game is tight, they give him the ball and he will make a play.
Jackson Woolley Jackson Woolley 6'3" | CG Mesa Mountain View | 2025 State AZ Mesa Mountain View
A long scoring guard has skill and a big IQ. He can shoot it from the three point line and will give a ball fake and get to the basket and will use the floater or runner. His length and lateral quickness allows him to keep his defenders in front of him.
Oshea Bonner Oshea Bonner 5'9" | PG Saguaro | 2025 State AZ Saguaro (Pictured)
A lightning quick point guard is very hard to handle. He is a tough on the ball defensively and just knows how to play. He moves without the ball, makes the correct read and gets the ball out of his hands quickly. He can pull-up off the dribble, he has great open court speed and he isn’t afraid to rebound inside.
JT Thomas JT Thomas 6'3" | SG Mountain Pointe | 2025 State AZ Saguaro
A strong wing is one of the their top defenders. He makes his money on the defensive end. He grabs rebounds inside and out of his area and will defend the 1-4 in high school. He is a downhill type of player but he is working on his mid-range pull-up.
Jayden Johnson Jayden Johnson 6'4" | PF Rancho Solano Prep | 2025 State AZ Saguaro
Sturdy framed power forward does most of his work in the paint. He can score through contact with his football like frame. He handles the ball decently in the open court and gets to the free throw line often. He rebounds in bunches and will alter or block shots.
Noah Adkins PG 5’7 Valley Christian
An undersized scoring point guard is a knockdown three point shooter with a tight handle. He has speed with the ball and can break a press. He is best off the catch but can create some offense with his handle.
