Sleeper Teams
Davis, Darts
Although Davis has lost a lot of key players they seem to reload quickly as they have some studs moving up from JV as some varsity players that will get some legit run now. Colby Whicker Colby Whicker 6'2" | CG Davis | 2023 State UT is a player that can take over a lot of the scoring. Zach Fisher Zach Fisher 6'7" | CG Davis | 2024 State UT is an intriguing prospect as well as he can do a little bit of everything. Coleman Atwater Coleman Atwater 6'3" | PG Davis | 2025 State UT is a good young player. Mitch Jeppeson is solid player that will be impactful. This team is dangerous because they are fast and can shoot. Curious to see the adjustments made by one of the better coaches in the state with this new shot clock.
Herriman, Mustangs
Herriman has had talent that has played at the next level for years. This year is no different. This could be one of the deepest Herriman teams in years. Ike Palmer Ike Palmer 6'6" | CG Herriman | 2024 State UT is a big body guard that can shoot and score from all over. Malcom Johnson Malcom Johnson 6'6" | SF Herriman | 2024 State UT is a solid wing player that can play in the perimeter as well as inside as he has length. The addition of freshman stud Carlo Mulford Carlo Mulford 6'0" | PG Herriman | 2026 State UT could really be the PG piece they have been missing. Hayden Gribble Hayden Gribble 6'6" | SF Corner Canyon | 2024 State UT is an athlete that can jump out of the gym and Cale Barclay Cale Barclay 6'8" | PF Herriman | 2025 State UT has size and shooting ability. This team has size and is built to play against any kind of team.
Riverton, Silverwolves
This is a team that has been waiting in the bushes ready to pounce on someone. This is the year and they will be lead by Jaxon Kereks a bigger off the ball guard that can go. He is a three-level scorer and he is tough. They have some height and could really benefit from the shot-clock to get stops and get out and score on the break.
Weber, Warriors
Weber has some dudes that can shoot and when you have a player like Hunter Schenck Hunter Schenck 6'2" | PG Weber | 2024 State UT that can go off and just hit some super tough shots there is always trouble. Look for them to really hurt teams from deep.
Bingham, Miners
thye have a lot of holes to fill but they have always been one of the better defensive teams in the state. Stay tuned to see what they can put together. Brayden Whitehead Brayden Whitehead 6'10" | C Bingham | 2023 State UT has been getting more reps outside of high school ball and he looks like he could be a raw prospect at the next level. Look for KJ Jenson KJ Jenson 6'0" | SG Bingham | 2023 State UT to emerge and they also have some young talent in Jason Petersen, Luke West Luke West 6'2" | SG Bingham | 2026 State UT and Donovan Averitte Donovan Averitte 6'4" | CG Bingham | 2025 CA-S . They could go young and showcase what is to come and pick up wins or go with some tough players coming from the JV team. Either way they will be a team to fear as always.
