Since this was the first go-around with the rankings in the 2026 class, we do not have any “New Additions” or “Stock Risers”. This is the deepest class in North Dakota that I have come across during my time at Prep Hoops. Look below to find out more information on these freshmen.

In basketball size matters, and not only does this kid have size, but a big diesel engine that doesn’t quit! Larson impacts the game like no other 2026 in North Dakota and has rightfully earned the distinction of being the #1 ranked 2026 prospect! The influence of Larson on the court is obvious from the defensive junk from opponents. Mature beyond his years, Bennett has shown the patience and unselfishness to work through these different looks. Look for Larson to have a big season for the Miners this winter.
A skilled BIG with great length and a strong frame. When Sage is not scoring from all three levels, he is hitting a cutting teammate or cleaning up on the glass! This kid has the size and ability to wreak havoc in Region 6 for the next four years! Get to know Mr. Hanson’s name, he will be making plenty of noise this season.
Cam has all the physical tools, but what stands out is his heady decision-making. If you are a believer in the assist to turnover metric, this is your guy! Miller projects to be a big & physical point guard that can control the tempo of a game and when needed, finish through contact. There is no shortage of talent in the Davies backcourt and now you have to add this kid to your list!
He is a long lefty with the ability to play inside and out. Jonathan is an efficient scorer and willing defender. He is athletic enough to run the floor with the guards and wings. Roubideaux is arguably the best passing BIG in this class. Jonathan had a great summer and will be well prepared to catch the coaches eye this winter! I really like this players potential.
He is an exceptionally skilled athlete that has shown the ability to score from all three levels. Sam can break down a primary defender with a plethora of offensive moves. The lefty can drill the J and finish at the rim with a wide variety of moves from all angles. Glandt has valuable size and strength to guard multiple positions on D. The Packers should be excited about this up-and-coming talent!
This kid puts defenders on skates! Carter is a sniper from deep but also has a quick first step that blows by closeouts. With savvy ball-handling skills and court vision, Evanson is combo guard that demonstrates the ability to play on or off the ball. The EDC will enjoy watching this kid play the next 4 years! Big things are coming for this Hawk.
“Big Jack” is a prototype 5, with terrific size and strength. He is an intimidating player with his length and build at such a young age. Jack is at his best with his back to the basket and has shown flashes with his footwork and finishing. Fitting the mold of a prospect, Dieterle’s best basketball is ahead of him! There is no question that coach Terry is excited about this BIG.
This young Eagle does it all! His high school coaches are going to love his effort and energy. While Collin’s offensive skill set continues to develop, his defense and rebounding are what make him a Top 10 prospect. Collin is simply not afraid to do the dirty work and might just be the best offensive rebounder in this class. If you are the unfortunate one that this kid was asked to guard, consider it a compliment! Everyone want to plays with a guy that gets it done on both ends of the floor and that is exactly what you get with Williams!

‘s little brother, but Marial is poised and ready to make a name for himself this winter. The young Deng will have a chance to prove himself at the varsity level very soon. Deng’s skillset fits perfectly into the scheme of his high school program. 4Wind’s fast tempo and pressure defense are exactly the type of basketball that Marial thrives at. Deng is a developing prospect with loads of potential. I can not wait to see how he looks this season.
This kid has basketball in his blood, good size, and impressive skills. Bears Tail is a talented scoring threat from all three levels. He plays equally well in half-court as he does in transition. Brylee’s length and athleticism make him a switchable defender. His skill and offensive versatility make him a difficult assignment for any defender! Keep tabs on this youngster, I like his game and his ceiling is high.
