This is an experienced group that has played well throughout the Spring and Summer against quality competition.
Cooks was part of the WCE NorCal UA team to play in the title game in Chicago this past Summer. He’s set to lead Dublin at the PG position this season as they try to repeat in the tough East Bay League. He’s an experienced PG with quality skills for the positions. He’s a top notch defender, who’s scoring should tick up this season.
A tough guard who can play either guard position as he’ll be counted on to score for this team. He’s improved his PG skills over time and is capable of running a team up top. His passing and decision making have sharpened. He’s hard to guard when he attacks the paint playing through contact. A good on ball defender.
Highlights
A well rounded guard who’ll bring balance to a team that’s ready to make a run. He’s shown us he has point guard skills, and can run point if called upon. He’s a willing passer, but can get a bucket on his own. He’s a decent shooter from 3. He’s athletic with good handles, and a burst to be an effective scorer in transition and in half-court.
Highlights
An experienced guard who can put up points in a hurry with his sharp shooting. He has a nice mid-range jumper to go with a consistent 3pt shot. He’s a threat when he has the ball. He’s a good handler with vision and passing in transition often finding teammates in stride for layups or spot ups.
He’s a bit under the radar, nonetheless he’s ready for a breakout season leading this team that likes to get up and down the court. He’s an excellent spot up shooter from behind the 3pt line. He’s good in transition finishing strong, and solid on the drive to the rim in half-court. He’ll defend hard
Highlights
He’s a quick hand and foot guard that will give ball handlers fits bringing the ball up court when he’s locked in. He’s excellent up top trapping with his quickness. He’s got the handles and quickness to go by most defenders from different angles on his way to the paint for points or assists.
He’s held his own all Spring and Summer playing against quality competition, and has gained valuable experienced running the point guard position. He plays at a good pace, makes good decisions with the ball. His no look dishes and shifty handles keeps defenders off balance. He’s a pass first guard who makes his shots.
