Anthony Loscalzo Anthony Loscalzo 6'2" | SG Hun | 2023 State NJ , 6’2 SG Hun
Loscalzo had a good summer with Hun and Penn Warriors, which should carry over into the winter. The 6’2 guard has a lightning quick release on his jumper and can knock down triples in bunches. Loscalzo moves exceptionally well off the ball, freeing himself up for easy jumpers and layups. He has a solid handle and is an underrated passer. Loscalzo’s ability to stretch the defense is something that will help his stock in a big way this season.
Joe Ganton Joe Ganton 6'4" | SG West Essex | 2023 State NJ , 6’4 SG West Essex
Ganton will be the go-to guy for West Essex this season as the Knights look to make a deep run in the Group 3 State Tournament. The 6’4 guard attacks the basket with a purpose as he is a strong finisher and is unafraid of contact. Ganton rises up nicely on his jumper and can make opponents pay for giving him space on the perimeter. He is a good passer and plays with quick hands on the defensive end. Ganton is a skilled guard prospect who should put up big numbers throughout the season.
Cale Maxey Cale Maxey 6'3" | SG Trenton Catholic | 2023 State NJ , 6’3 SG Trenton Catholic
Maxey will get more touches on the offensive end in 2022-23, which will help his stock in a big way. The 6’3 guard is a tough on-ball defender as he slides his feet well and has the athleticism to defend both guard spots. Maxey moves well without the ball in his hands and is a solid finisher around the basket. He has a nice handle and can knock down shots on the perimeter. Maxey is a gritty, two-way guard prospect who should have a strong senior season for the Iron Mikes.
David Haywood David Haywood 6'3" | PG Overbrook | 2023 State NJ , 6’3 PG Overbrook
Haywood ran the Rams’ offense effectively last season and should put up even bigger numbers this year. The 6’3 guard knows how to get into the paint as he is a good finisher around the basket and draw contact around the basket. Haywood is more than just a slasher as he can knock down shots from behind the arc and gets his teammates involved in the half court. He is a strong rebounder and uses his athleticism to make plays on the defensive end. Haywood’s collegiate future is probably on the gridiron, but he will still make plays for Overbrook on the hardwood.
Riley Flood Riley Flood 6'2" | CG Union | 2023 State NJ , 6’1 CG Union
Flood will be a leader for the Farmers this season, which should help his stock in a big way. The 6’1 guard explodes off the floor for dunks and is capable of finishing through contact around the rim. Flood knows how to get to his spot on the floor and rises up nicely on his shot. He is capable of running the offense in a pinch and is a tough on-ball defender. Flood does whatever it takes to help his team win games, which will be vital for Union this season.
