Noah Taylor Noah Taylor 6'5" | PF Colonia | 2023 State NJ | 6’5” | F | Colonia
A solid forward who can run the floor well. A tough post player who has good moves around the basket. He had 20&20 vs Sayreville, 12&10 vs St Thomas Aquinas and several other solid performances as as a junior. Taylor should have plenty of D3 schools after him and potentially even push on to the D2 level of interest with a strong senior year. Definitely one to watch as an All County type player.
Darrius Phillips Darrius Phillips 6'7" | PF Seton Hall Prep | 2023 State NJ | 6’7” | F | Seton Hall Prep
Phillips was primarily a role player who came up in big situations and performed when called upon as a junior at both ends of the court. Expect him to have a more expanded role as a senior. A good rebounder and explosive athlete who can run the floor. He turned in a stellar supporting performance in the county tournament final victory over Newark Central and also added a double-double against Central in the regular season.
Jordan Summers Jordan Summers 6'7" | PF Bound Brook | 2023 State NJ | 6’7” | F| Bound Brook
Summers had a break out junior year for Anthony Melesurgo’s Crusaders. He’s got a motor at both ends of the floor. Difficult to defend on the low block with solid footwork and soft hands around the rim. He’s got a shooter’s touch as well and is an above average rebounder. He had 32 vs Franklin, though in the state tournament, RFH and Raritan were able to slow him down. His senior year is going to be big for his scholarship opportunities as he had to prove that he can consistently dominate in big games and in the playoffs, but the potential is very high and he’s getting noticed.
Quatrell Wilson Quatrell Wilson 6'5" | SF Newark East Side | 2023 State NJ | 6’6” | F| Newark East Side
Wilson was a leader as a junior for the Raiders. Co-Coaches Bryant Garvin and Anthony Tavares had a very young team and Wilson was a leader for them. He’s long, lean and athletic. He can run the floor—A solid ballhandler too. He plays tough defense and is a good rebounder. He had several noteworthy games as a junior, including 22 vs West Essex, 15 vs Irvington and 16 vs University. He’ll be one of the best frontcourt players in Essex County and could really be an impactful player at the next level when a coach gets him into a collegiate weight program.
Donovan McKoy Donovan McKoy 6'6" | SF St. Joseph (Mont.) | 2023 State NJ | 6’6” | F | St Joe’s Montvale
A two sport star with football as his stop at the next level, McKoy had a fantastic junior year. He’s a top tier athlete and utilizes his explosiveness from his football skillset when he attacks the basket and goes at defenders—whom he can break down off the dribble or simply outmuscle down low, making him very tough to stop. He had 22 vs Wayne Valley and 20 vs DePaul. If he wanted to, McKoy could have been a scholarship basketball player too.
