Weekly Recruiting Update

This was one of the busiest weeks that we have had on the recruiting trail in quite some time around the state of Indiana. Let’s go ahead and dive right into the latest offers and visits to get you caught up on all the happenings from the past week.

• Micah Davis Micah Davis 6'0" | PG Franklin | 2024 State #218 Nation IN (Franklin H.S. 2024) took a visit to Illinois State on Saturday.

• Isaac Higgs Isaac Higgs 6'2" | PG Evansville Reitz | 2023 State IN (Evansville Reitz 2023) was offered by Hillsdale on Tuesday.

• Ollie Sandman Ollie Sandman 6'2" | SG Shelbyville | 2023 State IN (Anderson H.S. 2023) visited Anderson during the week. He continues to be one of the most sought-after Division III scorers in the state.

• As usual, a ton of news surrounded Top 25 national prospect Jalen Haralson Jalen Haralson 6'7" | PG La Lumiere | 2025 State IN (Fishers H.S. 2025) this week. The 6’7” point guard was offered by Florida State on Tuesday and by Ohio State on Saturday while on a visit in Columbus. Haralson also announced that he would be visiting Michigan State on September 24^th. Additionally, the entire Indiana staff plus an assistant from Auburn were in to watch one open gym at Fishers while Purdue head coach Matt Painter and an Ohio State assistant came to another.

• DaJohn Craig DaJohn Craig 6'1" | PG Lawrence Central | 2023 State IN (Lawrence Central H.S. 2023) took a visit to Heidleburg and was offered by the school while on campus.

• 6’8” sharpshooter Gavin Wisley Gavin Wisley 6'8" | PF Bloomington South | 2023 State IN (Bloomington H.S. South 2023) took a visit to Goshen on Tuesday and picked up an offer while on campus.

• 6’8” center Tyler Horton Tyler Horton 6'7" | C Warren Central | 2023 State IN (Warren Central H.S. 2023) was offered by Hanover on his visit Tuesday.

• On Thursday, Tiffin became the latest school to offer 6’4” guard Kamari Jones Kamari Jones 6'4" | SG Hillcrest Prep | 2023 AZ (Lawrence Central H.S. 2023).

• Also on Thursday, Gavin Welch Gavin Welch 6'6" | SF New Castle | 2023 State IN (New Castle H.S. 2023) picked up his first Divsiion II offer from Barry University in Florida.

• Lleyton Weddell Lleyton Weddell 6'7" | C Goshen | 2023 IN (Goshen H.S. 2023) continued his tour of Division III campus. The 6’7” center visited Albion and Heidelburg this week earning offers from both schools.

• Versatile 6’6” wing Joey Brown Joey Brown 6'6" | SG North Central | 2023 State #280 Nation IN (North Central H.S. 2023) took an official visit to Toledo this week.

• 6’2” guard Taden Metzger Taden Metzger 6'3" Fishers | 2024 IN (Fishers H.S. 2024) earned his first scholarship offer from Huntington. Metzger is one of the best shooters in the state of Indiana. 

• Heidelberg hosted Kyron Kaopuiki Kyron Kaopuiki 6'3" | SG Homestead | 2023 State IN (Homestead H.S. 2023) for a visit on Wednesday and extended an offer to him while on campus.

• Marcus Northern Marcus Northern 6'1" | PG South Bend Washington | 2023 State IN (South Bend Washington H.S. 2023) took a visit to Anderson on Wednesday.

• Nate Matelic Nate Matelic 6'5" | SG Speedway | 2023 State IN (Speedway H.S. 2023) took a visit to Wabash on Wednesday.
• Azavier Robinson Azavier Robinson 6'1" | PG Lawrence North | 2025 State IN (Lawrence North H.S. 2025) was visited by Indiana assistant Brian Walsh during an open gym this week.
• 6’9″ 5-star center Flory Bidunga Flory Bidunga 6'9" | C Kokomo | 2024 State #3 Nation IN (Kokomo H.S. 2024) picked up an offer from Kansas on Wednesday. Auburn, Cincinnati, and Purdue were among the schools in for open gyms this weekend. He also visited Butler who had recently offered him.
• Jason Kobe Jason Kobe 6'1" | SG Marquette Catholic | 2023 State IN (Marquette Catholic 2023) went to Manchester for a visit and was offered while on campus.
• 6’9″ big man Dylan Watson (Castle H.S. 2023) took a visit to Wabash College on Friday.
• Nick Richart Nick Richart 6'9" | PF Zionsville | 2023 State IN (Zionsville H.S. 2023) took in the campus at Columbia this week.
