16) Caleb Ihegihu Caleb Ihegihu 6'4" | SG Flint Hill | 2024 State VA | 6’4” Flint Hill (#83 Overall)
Ihegibu is a two sport athlete who really shines on the football field at Flint Hill, but he brings an important piece to their group on the hard wood with his athleticism and intensity. He’s a big time athlete who can play above the rim in transition, he is physical and moves his feet well defensively and he’s a straight line driver who can get to the rim and muscle his way through contact.
15) Drew Hatter Drew Hatter 6'3" | SG Eastern Mennonite | 2024 State VA | 6’3” Eastern Mennonite (#69 Overall)
Hatter is the last in a line of Hatter’s who have turned Eastern Mennonite into a powerhouse in the Harrisonburg area, and he is also the tallest and the only one who plays off the ball. At 6’3” he’s a good athlete who helps on the glass and defends, he’s a knock down shooter from deep who is consistent and has great form and he plays with a good motor on both ends of the floor.
14) David Rochester David Rochester 6'8" | SG South Lakes | 2024 State VA | 6’8” Bishop O’Connell (#63 Overall)
Rochester is an extremely talented prospect who could shoot up this list if he can stay healthy and consistently produce, as he’s a walking mismatch on the perimeter at his size with his skillset. He can shoot it from deep off the catch and has the size to shoot over smaller defenders, he can put it on the deck in isolation situations to create shots and at his size he can help on the glass and has the tools to guard multiple positions.
13) Aidan Caulker | 6’4” Bishop O’Connell (#62 Overall)
Caulker is part of a young but talented backcourt at O’Connell where his brother Corey is a senior leader, and he’s shot up in stature and developed his game to where he could find himself playing important minutes for this team. While he’s best off the ball with his ability to catch and shoot or catch and rip he can move on the ball and make plays, he’s a smart defender and he can provide a spark off the bench with his energy.
12) Darnell (DJ) Thomas Darnell (DJ) Thomas 6'7" | SG NEW HOPE (MD) | 2024 VA . | 6’6” Word of Life (#44 Overall)
The first thing you notice about Thomas when he steps on the floor is his terrific size for his position, but don’t get it twisted he’s an all-around wing who impacts the game across the board. He’s excellent with the ball in his hands where he has good vision and passing ability for his size, he can create shots and score the ball from all three levels and he’s a very good defender and rebounder who is an excellent charge taker too.
11) Mekai Johnson Mekai Johnson 6'4" | SG Bishop Ireton | 2024 State VA | 6’4” Bishop Ireton (#38 Overall)
Johnson is one of the most underrated guys in the WCAC but he should make a name for himself with the departure of senior Jamie Kaiser to IMG Academy. The 6’4” wing is an outstanding shooter from deep who shoots over 40% and is always shot ready, he doesn’t go through long cold streaks but can heat up quickly and he’s a capable rebounder and defender as well.
10) Doyle Brown Doyle Brown 6'1" | SG Bethel Academy | 2024 State VA | 6’3” Flint Hill (#37 Overall)
Brown is another two guard in the DMV area that needs to get some more love from colleges because he does two things coaches love and that’s shoot it and defend on the perimeter. He’s the type of shooter who can shoot it at a high percentage while also shooting at a high volume, he can attack closeouts and get to the rim where he can finish in traffic and he’s an excellent on ball defender who moves his feet well.
9) Kolier Pruett Kolier Pruett 6'4" | SG Narrows | 2024 State VA | 6’4” Narrows (#30 Overall)
Pruit may not be on everyone’s radar as he plays at a very small high school about 40 minutes southwest of Roanoke, but don’t get it wrong the 6’4” All-State two guard can play with anyone. He shows the ability to play on or off the basketball and makes great decisions in both aspects, he’s a knock down shooter who can drill it from deep and get to the midrange and he’s a sneaky athlete who can finish and defend as well.
