Hunter Fitch Hunter Fitch 6'8" | PF Mexia | 2024 State TX 2024 6’7 Mexia High School
Highlights
Hunter was one of the most dominant players in attendance for his work on the defensive end, and how he was able to turn defense into offense, but also play the forward role with consistency. He rebounded the ball at a very high level, throwing down multiple emphatic tip dunks and getting easy second chance opportunities just off of his energy and positioning. His consistency in the paint was very impressive, but what stood out to me even more was his comfort with a live dribble, and how well he was able to take other forwards off the bounce and get to the rim. There were multiple instances where he shifted his defender with a simple jab out of the triple threat and then sprinted down the lane and punched it on a help defender. The threat of him scoring and throwing it down on multiple defenders really opens up the floor for him, allowing him to get into his bag and hit step back jumpers. He showed an ability to not only play out of the high post, but create offense with his handle and the attention he draws! Fitch was easily one of the best players in attendance this weekend, I know I will be keeping tabs on his development over the next two years!
Kade Ramer Kade Ramer 6'7" | C Van Alstyne | 2024 State TX 2024 6’7 Van Alstyne High School
Kade was once again consistent in the paint, showing off his consistency down low but more importantly was one of the hardest working prospects on the glass. He also followed up his teammates misses, and went up quick and strong for easy second chance points. He finished well with either hand underneath the rim, confidently going up strong and inviting contact as he finished through it. He loves getting to his bunny hooks and quick turn arounds, and really leaps and uses his length to finish over the top of his opponent. Ramer is a strong prospect for his age, who finishes very well through contact and is not afraid of anyone coming over as a help defender. I love watching Ramer compete, always one who fights hard for positioning and does the little things to allow his team to have success every time he steps on the court!
Caleb Smith Caleb Smith 6'1" | SG Keller - Timber Creek | 2023 TX 2023 6’0 Timber Creek High School
Highlights
Caleb is continuing to develop as an all around player, scoring at will from all three level, successfully attacking the rim and destroying on ball defenders with a series of crossovers. He really impressed with his ability to do it consistently across all three levels of the floor, knocking down shots in the corner off the catch and awarely attacking hard closeouts. Smith is a high level guard with a tight handle, allowing him to get up and down the floor. He gets past the first defender, draws the attention in the defense and then dimming up his teammates with the right pass, skipping it past the help defense. He is already an elite facilitator in the full court and the half court. He makes all of the right reads within the flow of the half court offense. I was very impressed by his ability to facilitate and generate offense for his team. Be on the lookout for his stock to rise real soon!
Kaison Membane 2024 6’2 Frisco Wakeland High School
Highlights
Kaison is a high level athlete who is willing to dominate his match-up on both ends of the court, constantly flying around wreaking havoc as an on ball defender and a three level scorer who is fearless when he attacks the rim. I was very impressed by his intensity and the motor he always played with, going a million miles an hour after loose balls and long rebounds. He chased down opponents on the fast break to tip them off the glass, and then running the other way to score in the mid-range on a tough pull up. I was very impressed by his ability to take what the defense gave him, both on the fast break and within the half court. Membane is a tough guard, who is willing to do all of the dirty work to help his team find success on the court. When paired with an elite ball handler, he showed an ability to find his own space by working off the ball, and catching the defense sleeping with back cuts.
