Finley Bizjack Finley Bizjack 6'5" | CG Byron Nelson | 2023 State #131 Nation TX 2023 6’5 Byron Nelson High School
Highlights
Finley is an elite combo guard with a great frame and a high level ability to score off the bounce from anywhere on the court. He has already unlocked the coveted fourth level of the floor, and confidently steps back to hit shots over anyone. He hunts for his shots across all over the floor, and is not afraid to shoot over his defender. He calmly fades away in your face and knocks down shots. Where I have seen the most development with him over the last year has to be his play-making and ability to create for his teammates. Even when matched up with kids he had never met before, he made the right reads and put passes in the right spot to make his teammates look even better. His confidence and prowess with a live dribble is already an elite level, he is very well deserving of his high ranking, he calmly can control your offense and produce buckets when you need them most. He is the prototypical combo guard with all of the tools to be successful at the next level. This is a name you cannot soon forget. I fully expect him to make some noise at Butler next year, and fit right into their high basketball IQ culture that they have built in Indy!
Williams Jordan II 2024 6’5 City View High School
Williams is an elite defensive weapon, who specializes in playing the small ball forward role for his high school team, but this weekend he showed off his versatility and willingness to play inside out or outside in. His length allows him to lock up anyone on the floor, and realistically defend positions 2-4 at the next level with his ability to move his feet and use his arms to tip passes and reject shots. I would like to see him work to dominate more in transition and improve his overall speed with the basketball to really flip the court and initiate offense after defending the rim.
He is long and showed a strong ability to create offense as a screener. He is aware at when to slip the screen or even pop and create out of the high post. He has all the tools and on court awareness to initiate offense and displayed a strong handle in the full court. He is an aware passer with two feet in the paint, he easily picked defenses apart by recognizing when and where the help defense is coming from. Jordan is also a strong player out of the triple threat, and can operate out of it at all three levels, or with his back to the basket. He is good at turning the corner on his defender and sealing him off from having a chance to block him. Jordan has all of the tools to develop into a truly dynamic offensive weapon at the next level and I am intrigued to watch his development.
Gur Dhillon Gur Dhillon 6'6" | PF Addison Trinity Christian | 2024 State TX 2024 6’6 Trinity Christian Academy
Highlights
Gur is a skilled wing/ forward prospect who knows how to use his size to dominate down low, but is continuing to work on his guard skills and his ability to break down the defense. I have been very impressed with his overall development with his handle and shot from the midrange and beyond the arc. I have been lucky enough to see him multiple times this summer, and every time I do he has a new wrinkle in his game. He is incredibly consistent with his back to the basket, with an arsenal of bunny hooks and up and unders. He is making quick moves in the post, attacking mismatches and picking apart the defense when they send help. He is a very polished player with his back to the basket, with elite level footwork to manipulate his defender at will. He is a strong finisher in the paint and utilizes his length to outreach opponents. Dhillon is also great rebounder on both ends of the floor, he routinely boxes out and fights hard for all boards. I would like to see him continue to add more strength to his frame and continuing to develop his physical skills as much as he is growing as a basketball player!
Grant Rein Grant Rein 6'0" | SG Grapevine Faith Christian | 2023 State TX 2023 6’0 Grapevine Faith High School
Grant is a high level scorer across all three levels of the floor, with an incredibly quick trigger to get his shot up over the defense. I loved watching him catch cross court passes and getting a shot up after snatching the ball out of the air. He is an elite level set shooter who does not need much space or time to get his feet set and spot up. He is comfortable operating out of the wings and the corners. He takes what the defense gives him, and can blow past you if you do not chop your feet when you close out. He is not afraid to attack the rim or pull up for a jumper or floater in the lane. Where I have seen him develop the most over the last two years has to be his ability to create looks for his teammates and operate as a more conventional point guard. Rein made some high level passes in the half court, setting up his teammates and putting passes on the money before his teammates were even in position. He has all the tools to walk into a program at the next level and operate as a point or a shooting guard, and seems willing enough to do what it takes for his team to be successful.
Antoine Carter Antoine Carter 6'6" | SF Langham Creek | 2023 TX 2023 6’6 Langham Creek High School
Antonie is an extremely skilled wing who is already dominating across all three levels on the floor. He has an incredibly consistent jump shot when he gets a chance to set his feet and step into his shots. I was very impressed with his ability to score from the perimeter, confidently shooting over defenders off the bounce, but also attacking downhill. I loved his patience with his offensive game, first knocking down shots from the outside, and then putting the ball on the floor to get to the rim when the defense closed out hard on him. He has great touch on his shot in the mid-range and on runners in the lane and from the corners. Carter also showed an ability to play out of the high post, put the ball on the floor and make the right reads, whether that was to set up his teammates after drawing a second defender or taking the open mid-range jumper when the big does not step up to contest him. I would like to see Carter to develop his consistency in the paint, and going up strong every time when he attacks the rim rather then fading away from contact. He has a dominant frame and is already great at using his length to shoot over his opponents.
