Bryson McGlothlin 2024 6’6 John Paul II High School
Highlights
Bryson is a high level wing who is already boasting some pretty big name offers, including Rice and the University of Texas Rio Grand Valley. He has been working with one of the best Adiddas Circuit programs, Team Trae Young, shooting above thirty percent from beyond the arc this summer. His ability to score off the bounce and from beyond the arc, with his blend of size and ball skills is definitely unique. He has an incredibly tight handle for his size, and knows how to utilize it to get out trouble, from double teams and on the fast break. He is a confident shooter from beyond the arc, who loves spotting up from the corners and wings to be a consistent catch and shoot option for his team. Where he has shown the most growth to me is his ability to score off the bounce, confidently getting into his shot even after limited dribbles. His awareness on the offensive end of the court is already at an elite level! I would like to see him work on affecting the game more defensively, he has a tremendous frame and would punish most prospects down low! He has the ball skills, agility and size to play and defend positions 2-4 with ease at the next level, just a matter of whether or not he can defend at that level.
Rowdy Robinson Rowdy Robinson 6'4" | CG Pilot Point | 2024 TX 2024 6’4 Pilot Point High School
Highlights
Rowdy is a prospect that I have gotten to see a lot of this summer, constantly developing his shot from the outside and his leadership skills on the court. He is a natural leader, who calls out defensive assignments and rotations as they happen to help guide his teammates who might not be on the same basketball IQ level as he is. He is the ideal glue guy at the next level, with the ball skills and size to play the 2 or the 3. Robinson willingly moves without the basketball to create a driving lane or more space for his teammates, but also hustles after loose balls and long rebounds to gather extra possessions for his team. Rowdy’s energy is infectious, and it bleeds through into his teammates, forcing them to hustle harder as well! His willingness to not only do the dirty work on the defensive side of the floor, but the offensive as well will make him a valuable addition to any college program, even if it means possibly walking on somewhere.
Williams Jordan II 2024 6’5 City View High School
Williams is an elite defensive weapon, who specializes in playing the small ball forward role for his high school team, but this weekend he showed off his versatility and willingness to play inside out or outside in. His length allows him to lock up anyone on the floor, and realistically defend positions 2-4 at the next level with his ability to move his feet and use his arms to tip passes and reject shots. I would like to see him work to dominate more in transition and improve his overall speed with the basketball to really flip the court and initiate offense after defending the rim.
He is long and showed a strong ability to create offense as a screener. He is aware at when to slip the screen or even pop and create out of the high post. He has all the tools and on court awareness to initiate offense and displayed a strong handle in the full court. He is an aware passer with two feet in the paint, he easily picked defenses apart by recognizing when and where the help defense is coming from. Jordan is also a strong player out of the triple threat, and can operate out of it at all three levels, or with his back to the basket. He is good at turning the corner on his defender and sealing him off from having a chance to block him. Jordan has all of the tools to develop into a truly dynamic offensive weapon at the next level and I am intrigued to watch his development.
Gur Dhillon Gur Dhillon 6'6" | PF Addison Trinity Christian | 2024 State TX 2024 6’6 Trinity Christian Academy
Highlights
Gur is a skilled wing/ forward prospect who knows how to use his size to dominate down low, but is continuing to work on his guard skills and his ability to break down the defense. I have been very impressed with his overall development with his handle and shot from the midrange and beyond the arc. I have been lucky enough to see him multiple times this summer, and every time I do he has a new wrinkle in his game. He is incredibly consistent with his back to the basket, with an arsenal of bunny hooks and up and unders. He is making quick moves in the post, attacking mismatches and picking apart the defense when they send help. He is a very polished player with his back to the basket, with elite level footwork to manipulate his defender at will. He is a strong finisher in the paint and utilizes his length to outreach opponents. Dhillon is also great rebounder on both ends of the floor, he routinely boxes out and fights hard for all boards. I would like to see him continue to add more strength to his frame and continuing to develop his physical skills as much as he is growing as a basketball player!
