The talent is overflowing in the DMV, so there will likely be some nuggets left out, but we’ll take a look at commitments, offers and visits that took place throughout for the senior class.
COMMITMENTS
Harvard flexed its muscles this month as they received commitments from not one, but two prospects in the DMV. St. John’s (DC) guard
Malik Mack

announced his commitment and shortly after, Gonzaga forward Thomas Batties announced his. The 2023 duo has experience playing alongside each other from their terrific run over the summer representing Team Takeover where they appearance in the Peach Jam title game. Mack is a savvy, left-handed combo guard who can knock down the deep ball and posseses solid basketball IQ. Batties comes with long-term potential as a versatile forward who can space the floor, provide value on the defensive end and embrace whatever role is assigned to him.
In the beginning of the month St. Mary’s Annapolis & DMV Stags forward

made it official with a commitment to St. Francis (PA). The 6’7 forward brings a frame that will match the physicality of the Division I level along with a versatile offensive skill set for his position. He can operate with his back to the basket, take his man off the bounce in face-up scenarios or be a pick-and-pop threat. The one skill that I’m confident will translate seamlessly to the next level is Harris’ approach as a rebounder.
Bishop McNamara & Team Takeover guard

announced his commitment to Fairleigh Dickinson earlier this week. New head coach Tobin Anderson has had great success recruiting the DMV at his last school in St. Thomas Aquinas and has capitalized on one of the under-the-radar guards for his 2023 recruiting class. Quigley is a blur in the open floor, understands how to create for others and can make an impact on the defensive side of the ball.

committed to Albany during his official visit a couple of weekends ago. The 6’3 guard has built a reputation as a pest on the defensive end thanks to his production on the 3SSB Circuit this past summer. At DMV Live, he showcased a dependable shot from deep and the leadership intangibles to be a sound building block long-term for head coach Dwayne Killings.
2023 DeMatha guard

announced his commitment today to Augusta (DII). We’ve seen Augusta in the past sneak up to the DMV and take quality guard who have impacted winning a high level for their program. Arnold looks to be next in line as he brings good positional size, a sound skill set and experience within a winning culture.

, has begun his visit tour starting with official to Clemson, Syracuse, DePaul and Wake Forest. He’ll take his unofficial to VCU this weekend and finish off with LSU at the end of October before he’s expected to make a decision.

will take an official visit to Lehigh this weekend. Gillus is one of the most overlooked prospect in DMV senior class in my opinion. His resume and ability to orchestrate a team to play winning basketball is rare at the point guard position. Lehigh recently made the official offer to Gillus and it could end up paying off if they can impress him enough this weekend.
OFFERS

received an offer from St. Thomas University after an open gym session. I was in attendance for the same workout and the 6’2 guard put on an absolute scoring clinic.
