SubscribeFor the past few years it seems as though the 6A Champion has to typically go through someone in Region 4. The way it looks now, it seems as not much has changed. Region 4 has some really good players coming back and even the teams that are a bit down have some solid overall team play. Here are a few players in a once again loaded Region4.

This kid is finally starting to pick up traction on the recruiting trail as he is racking up some solid options at places he could play at right away. Ashton is a solid combo guard because he can handle when called up upon and he can create off the dribble. He can switch over to the shooting guard position and he can be very effective stretching the floor. If they go small he can switch to the three and slash and attack. Solid player that should be a key component for AF to defend their title.

When you think of CCHS you can go down the list of players that could be key to this team capturing another state title, but it might come down to the person handling the ball and getting it to the players that are open or if Jaxon can create off the dribble he will hit open shooters or drop off passes for easy lays. He could eventually take the load off of other players on the squad.

It has been relayed over to us that Ike decided not to play football this year and if he turns into a full-time basketball player he could really turm that corner for himself as his stock could rise but also for his team as they could really use a hybrid type of big that can hold his own on the block but also defend the perimeter. Look for Ike to have a breakout year and hit double digits in scoring. Excited to see his development but this is going to be a major key on a team that will rely on a few young players.

It’s not too often that high school teams have size like college teams but AF does and Kean could really transform this team moving forward as they can go really big or they can swap out bigs and stay big the entire game. Kean gives AF some more options because he can step out and shoot the ball. The key here is that teams will not be able to sag off this season if Kean is dropping passes from the perimeter to other bigs. Kean has next level talent and AF could be the favorite once again.

One of the best shooting wings in the West and if he does half of what he did on the circuit this high school season CCHS could really hoist that trophy up once again. Brody is a game changer and a big time shot maker. He should be considers as one of the Top 150 players in the country.

Tough guard that will need to play with that high motor racking up steals and tips in the lanes. He will be a player that will have a of responsibility getting the ball moving and possibly getting to the rim in order for Lone Peak to elevate from last season.
