Klundt while young and still developing his game overall has shown flashes of what he can do when he is playing at his best and Gregory will be looking to him to help run their offensive unit. Klundt is a typical pass-first point guard who can facilitate the ball at a high level which translates into hitting his teammates in some tight windows for a key pass or having his big men set screens to make that happen. He shows how he can study and change as a game goes on by changing how and where he is going to set his teammates up, with him not always doing it in one spot but finding weak points that he sees in the defense. His vision is another thing that really impresses me, he can always find an open man no matter if he is in transition or already set up on the court. Overall, Klundt has some real potential not only as a ball player but as someone who wants to take their game to the next level with the level of work ethic that he shows game in and out.
Daniel Mitchell Daniel Mitchell 6'7" | SF Gregory | 2024 State SD – SF, 6’8″ 170lbs
Mitchell is a slender yet quick and powerful scoring forward who can truly score on all three levels of the court no matter where is set up at. Mitchell is truly a dynamic scorer and his size does surely help that, combine that with his mobility and arm actions he has and you get a true offensive threat. Outside he is a three-point shooter who can spot up at times or be set up to take a quick shot but he seems to like the mid-range shot more than anything. That is where we see his scoring output truly excel where he can pull up and hit some quick jump shots when in a mismatch or make the person guarding really work to get that stop and have them try to disrupt him. More often than not he wins the battles between him and anyone who is guarding him, with it often ending in a bucket on his end. He can also move in for some baskets around the rim where he can once again use his size to disrupt the defender at the basketball and come away with some points. Mitchell being able to score on every level will be key to the Gorilla’s offense and will be helped by the other talent that he has around him.
Rane Kenzy Rane Kenzy 6'2" | SF Gregory | 2025 State SD – PF, 6’3″ 185lbs
Kenzy might be a smaller PF but that does not hold him back in the fact that he’ll play harder than any other player on the court at any given time. Kenzy has some great upper body strength that he uses greatly to his advantage when it comes to playing some bully ball. While he might not match up well with some other big men at times, he will make them work for every basket that they try to get when he is on the court. That is where he truly succeeds as a player by using his strengths to his advantage and turning his weakness into his advantages. He can use his smaller size to be far more quick and agile than most big men to play better defense on them and make them play a lot tighter and more secure when it comes to protecting the ball. That’s what I like most about Kenzy is that he makes the other team adjust when he is on the court to match his style of play and have them play how he wants it. He is a valuable defensive piece, and I will be watching to see what he does on the court this year.
Gannon Thomas – SG, 6’0″ 175lbs
Thomas is a versatile 2 guard who has impressed me with what he can do when he gets the ball in his hand. While he plays like your general shooting guard who can attack the basketball along with taking some shots from about anywhere on the court, what I see from Thomas is a willingness to play when they need him to. He has gotten some inconsistent minutes at times but that has not stopped him from playing with a bad attitude or showing poor body language when he is on the court. Thomas is showing to me and to others that when he gets a chance to play he will do it and not complain about the minutes he is getting. He has shown great flashes with how talented he can be with the ball in his hands and with that kind of attitude that scouts but also coaches love to see, he will be someone who can be a key piece to help his team win some games this season.
