Hardy did a great job of running the floor, using his size, and length and play to establish himself as one of the top front court players of Expo 250. The 6’7″ Artesia big man plays with a high motor. He ran from rim to rim and hit the boards hard. His offensive rebounding resulted in a ton of easy put back scores. Hardy also sets good picks, and always looks to roll to the rim. Understands his strengths and plays to them. On defense Hardy did a great job protecting the rim and altering shots in the paint. Is a very solid hustling rim protecting big. Has potential to expand his game even more.
Lumpkin is a versatile front court wing who can play both the 3 4 and some 5. The 6’6″ Village Christian product displays downhill ability, does a great job getting to the rim and finishing. He boxes out, rebounds, plays feed defense and hustles. While he does the bulk of his damage getting inside the paint, Lumpkin shows the ability and potential to shoot from outside. Has a high motor, and the size and strength to play in college.
Highlights
Widemon is a versatile wing who has good slashing potential. Has long arms and good length which allow him to help be a presence around the rim. Does a good job of having his arms straight up on defense to rattle the opposing slashers. Has really good mobility and understands how to be effective with weakside help. Plays passing lanes well where his instincts and length allows him to tip passes and get steals. On offense, he has some potential to be an all around player. Widemon did a good job of setting picks and rolling straight to the rim. Can also hit the midrange shot.
Wiggins is one of those players who contributes in many different ways. The Venture Academy wing mixed his game up displaying ability to hit from outside, and slashing to the rim. Runs the floor, can absorb some contact when attacking, can contribute on the boards. Can do a bit of everything well on the floor.
