Barrett joins QEA from the state of Kentucky as he looks to impose his will in the Pharaoh’s frontcourt. He’s a solid 6-foot-8 big man that’s shown an ability to play around the rim on both ends with his length, strength and athleticism. Look for him to be a name to know in NC’s 2023 class this season.
Nigel Okwakol Nigel Okwakol 6'5" | CG Quality Education Academy | 2023 State NC – Quality Education Academy
Okwakol joins the QEA rotation after gaining traction on the recruiting trail this past season at NC GBBA. He comes in with some interest from a few DI and DII programs as an athletic presence at 6-foot-6 that can make things happen on both ends of the floor. He uses his length to be a defensive pest and can easily get to his spots off the bounce.
Travelle Bryson Travelle Bryson 6'5" | SF Legacy Early College | 2024 State SC – Mooresville High
Bryson joins the Mooresville High backcourt after spending this past season at Comenius School down on the border of South Carolina. He’s an electric scoring guard at 6-foot-4 that should boost their presence in the 704 area with his ability to make things happen with the ball in his hands. He posted 16.9 ppg, 6.9 rpg, 4.1 apg and 2.0 spg while shooting 59 percent from the floor and 49 percent from 3-point land as a sophomore this past season.
Jack Voth Jack Voth 6'6" | PF J.T. Hoggard | 2023 State NC – Hoggard High
Voth joins the Hoggard High rotation out in Wilmington by way of Kansas, attending Buhler High this past season. He was a highly-decorated player at Buhler and one of their top players in the post at 6-foot-5 in 2021-22. He’ll look to make his presence felt in the Vikings rotation to end his high school career. He currently holds a Tusculum offer.
Joseph Bachman Joseph Bachman 6'8" | PF Greensboro Day | 2023 State NC – Greensboro Day School
Bachman joins the GDS frontcourt in 2022-23 after putting together solid numbers as a double-double machine with Laney High the past few seasons. He’s a long prospect at 6-foot-8 that uses his length to be a presence on the glass and in the paint area. He produced 12.3 ppg and 10.4 ppg as a junior with the Pirates in 2021-22.
