GameChangers at #DMVFreshmanShowcase
This content series is sponsored by GameChanger-The Official Scorekeeping, Stats, Team Management & Technology Partner of Prep Hoops.
The #DMVFreshmanShowcase was loaded with talent. Players showed their ability to shoot the trey, facilitate, defend, and hit the boards, and they were impressive in doing so. While those things were great to see, I looked beyond them to see if I could find some players that impacted and changed the game through their play in some of those areas and other areas. Here are a few of the young men that emerged as #DMVFreshmanShowcase GameChangers…
Dylan Napoleon | 6’3″ wing | The Pennington School
Napoleon’s finishing ability made him a GameChanger. He has long arms that help him deliver the ball close to the rim and demonstrates a soft touch when converting buckets in the paint.
Cole Murdock Cole Murdock 6'1" | CG New Covenant | 2026 State VA | 6’0″ guard | New Covenant School
Murdock’s relentless motor made him a GameChanger. He reacts quickly, demonstrates a soft touch, and makes shots as well.
Kai McKnight | 6’2″ guard | The McLean School
McKnight’s ability to space the floor made him a GameChanger. He exhibited in the gym range when shooting from the catch.
Gregory Taylor | 6’2″ guard | St. Frances Academy
Taylor’s combination of athleticism and playmaking ability made him a GameChanger on both ends of the court. He was able to consistently create scoring opportunities off the dribble.
Maurice White Maurice White 6'3" | SG St Mary's Ryken | 2026 State MD | 6’3″ wing | St. Mary’s Ryken
White’s consistently off-ball movement made him a GameChanger. He is a crafty finisher who can run all day long.
