Delaurier is one of the fastest rising prospects in VA, and watching him Sunday was possibly the best I’ve seen him play over the last three seasons. He’s an ultra competitor who gets after it and plays with energy on both ends of the floor, he can play on the perimeter with his ability to shoot and pass offensively and he has good lateral quickness for his size on the defensive end and he’s a walking double-double who is starting to put it all together and become more consistent and productive.

Simango is set for a breakout season for Blue Ridge who is a totally different looking team than the last few years, but if Simango plays with the motor we’ve come to expect he’ll be able to put up big numbers this year. He’s constantly running the floor for easy opportunities in transition, he is super strong in the paint with good hands and feet and attacks the defender’s body to draw contact and finish in the paint and he’s an absolute monster on the glass who out rebounds guys bigger than him regularly.

Rickards has steadily been one of the best scoring guards in the 757 over the past few years, and he showed the ability to both score it and make others better as well. He’s a high IQ combo who makes great decisions with the ball in his hands, he can get to spots and scores the ball well from all three levels and he plays with a competitive chip yet still makes a lot of the game look very easy.

Thorne is a rising PG prospect in the 757 who will be very important to the success for Catholic this year. He’s a strong guard who handles the rock and handles pressure well and doesn’t get sped up very much, he’s a skilled shot maker who can knock down shots from multiple levels and finishes well around the rim over bigger defenders and he sets the tone and his poise helps lead his team.

Gray is set to have a blowup on the recruitment trail over the next 12 months, as the 6’8” four man was super productive in Steward’s two game and showed his athletic ability as well. He’s excellent in transition as he can run with the guards and finish above the rim, he crashes the glass for put backs and extra opportunities and he’s showing the ability to stretch the floor now too.

Johnson was one of the breakout players in session one of the Fall Series on Sunday, as he played well and showed a lot of potential moving forward that college coaches should pay attention to. He has good positional size with good strength at the position, he’s smooth off the bounce and gets to spots with good footwork and he has that natural “it” factor that makes me think he’s just scratching the surface with how good he can be.
