Continue Reading(Up from No. 75) Mathis made waves this offseason as a smooth guard that knows how to get to his spots. Taison is tough to corral, quick with the dribble as he finds cracks in the defense. The shifty guard has a pinpoint pull-up jumper and is a tough finisher at the basket.
(Up from No. 88) A playmaking pass-first point guard, Vonte Newell Vonte Newell 6’0″ | PG Monroe Area | 2024 State GA has jitterbug quickness on the floor. He is full of energy, chasing down steals in the full court press and igniting transition breaks with his floor vision. Newell has a knack for sucking in the defense and dropping off assists at the last second in traffic. When he looks for his offense, Newell is a creative slasher with an improving outside shot.
(Up from No. 106) Dunn is a physical guard that scores through contact at the rim. Khayri does a good job of dictating the tempo and getting others involved. He averaged 10.7 points per game last year at Rockdale County and has subsequently transferred to Tucker. Auburn-Montgomery has offered.
(Up from No. 111) As prolific of a scorer 2024 has seen this offseason, Bronson Blair Bronson Blair 5’11” | CG Mountain View | 2024 State GA routinely topped 20 points per game and had some of the most explosive scoring outbursts this summer. Blair was unstoppable at RYZE Hoops events, routinely leading his division in scoring. He’s a tough-nosed scorer that uses his body well when getting to the hoop. Blair’s ability to pull-up from the mid-range and also shoot the three make him an above-average scorer from all over the floor.
(Up from No. 112) The football standout is an all-downhill attacker. Scott loves to secure rebounds and weave his way down the floor. He’s an impressive athlete with the leaping ability to finish above the rim. Antonio is an aggressive on-ball defender.
